Our weekly meal plan! 7th - 13th February. #MealPlanningMonday

Our Weekly Meal Plan

Last weeks meal plan went well until midweek when we had the unexpected news about Ellie's MRI scan results. You can read about it in my Word of the Week blog post from Friday. She's fine they just want to investigate more but it was such a shock. I didn't feel much like shopping for the buns on Wednesday after leaving the hospital. To put it into perspective we went to the big, new B&M in town and I didn't buy anything for myself which is unheard of in that shop. lol That was my mood. The kids had super noodles and hot dogs and I had chocolate spread sandwiches, the meatballs didn't go to waste though, Stu had them and some for his lunch the next day. On Thursday we had sausage sandwiches, Friday pizza,  Saturday we had a sausage, apple and potato traybake and Sunday we had beans on toast.

It's a new week so I have high hopes that we will get back on track. We did have a tasty treat on Thursday. Becky made some crumbles, a cherry one and an apple one and they were so good. This week she is planning to make a Biscoff cheesecake, she has already bought everything that she needs. I hope her cooking in the kitchen becomes a regular thing although I can see myself piling on the pounds as she is only interested in making sweet treats.

On the menu this week we have:

Monday - Beef and vegetable casserole with mashed potato.
Tuesday - Chicken Fajitas.
Wednesday - Creamy garlic mushrooms and pasta.
Thursday - Egg-fried rice with veg.
Friday - Fish, chips and mushy peas.
Saturday - Pizza.
Sunday - Toad in the hole, mash & veg.

I am linking up with Karen over at Cat's, Kids, Chaos who is the host of the meal planning linky. If you blog about your meal plan do come and link up!

  1. I have that same problem with Alec and his baking; everything is so good but sugary and bad for me! LOL. I still like the help though.

  2. You will get back on track for sure. I've got to get my meal plans back up again after missing last week.
Creamy garlic mushrooms and pasta sounds lush. Joben is garlic mad, there is no way he will ever get attacked by vampires hehe! Fab meal plan. x
