This blog post was meant to be about the awesome Easter egg hunt we had....I had it all planned I was going to hide them outside in the back garden but the weather let us down. It rained and it was so cold! What happened to the hottest Easter weekend on record. The weather people lie. hehehe The whole of the past week has been pretty rubbish weather wise but we still managed to have at least one morning outside....
Of course we went to the park.....It's our go to place. It's free and my girls love it there....
As it was quite chilly there was hardly anyone there. There was no queuing for anything and the girls got to stay on everything as long as they wanted....
Usually Ellie loves been pushed on the swings....Not on this visit. Miss Independent decided that she is too old to be pushed and wanted to do it herself....Another sign that my baby is growing up.
Then it was on to the spinny thing....This terrifies me. It spins so fast. My girls are braver than I am. They laughed and shrieked so much....
Then we moved onto the other area of the park where there is a lot of climbing things....
This is where Ellie had a bit of a mishap. She has had a wobbly tooth for a week or so. It decided to fall out of it's own accord and she spat it out into the wood chips instead of her hand. We looked for it but it was lost....The clever tooth fairy did leave a little note with her pound under her pillow that night saying she will go and look for it....Phew!
We had a lovely couple of hours....The girls wore themselves out which made for a quite afternoon....hehehe
On the way home we called in the sandwich shop. We were just going to get a sandwich but smelled the bacon. We went for all day breakfasts....hehehe It was a lovely treat and a great end to our morning out....
It's such a shame you've not had very good weather this week, it looks like you've still managed to make the most of the dry days though! The girls look like they're having a blast running around the park, I bet having the place to themselves really brightened their days up. My lot used to love those spinning things, they used to terrify me too!
ReplyDeleteThanks for linking up with me on #CountryKids.
I am hoping this week is a bit brighter. We have a couple of days out planned.
DeleteThank you x
They don't care what the weather, do they? Kids always have fun once they are outside. Mich x #CountryKids
ReplyDeleteThey really don't....They started with big coats by the end they were just in hoodies. lol
DeleteWe always seem to be at the park when it's colder too. It's always nicer when they get it to themselves though.
ReplyDeleteWe've had similar falling out teeth issues too. Glad the tooth fairy still arrived #livingarrows
Oh yes, getting the park to themselves seems like such a treat.
DeleteThank you x
The weather has been rubbish this weekend and it's so annoying, particularly as it was really lovely the previous 2 weeks! The girls look like they're having fun though. I once went on one of those spinning things....never again!! #countrykids
ReplyDeleteIt seems like my girls broke up from school and the weather changed for the worst. Hmmf. They had a great time. Thank you x
DeleteIts been awhile since I last visited your blog and your girls are so grown up now! Its the same here weather wise but we dont really care too if its sunny or not. We just go out and like you our go to place is the park too! #countrykids
ReplyDeleteAww! Thank you.
DeleteOf all the things we do and see, it's always the play parks that my kids remember and ask for again :) Lovely post, enjoying the day whatever the weather! #countrykids
ReplyDeleteThank you...We spent 30 minutes traveling to a park today just because my girls were desperate to try it out. lol
DeleteThank you x
I feel that people can always underestimate a good park! And like you said it's free. I really need to make sure we visit ours more often. I just need to find somewhere we can have a fry up on the way home! #CountryKids
ReplyDeletehehehe! The fry up was a real bonus!
DeleteThank you x
Ooh an all day breakfast sounds like the perfect way to end the trip to the park. Your girls look like they were having so much fun. Glad to hear that the tooth fairy was okay with the missing tooth. The Easter weekend was a bit chilly here too but thankfully dry enough for our egg hunt. I've stopped believing the weather predictions now - they're usually ok a day or two ahead but much more hit and miss when they're any more in advance than that. #countrykids
ReplyDeleteThey had the best time...
DeleteGlad you had a good egg hunt.
Thank you x
What a kind tooth fairy ;) #Countrykids
ReplyDeleteShe was. hehehe

Looks like you had fun despite the weather! Lovely to have a playground to yourselves. #CountryKids
ReplyDeleteIt was brilliant to have the playground to ourselves. A real treat!

Parks are a great place to tire youngsters. #CountryKids
ReplyDeleteOh yes! hehehe
DeleteThank you x
Well done tooth fairy! Girls look like they are having a whale of a time! #countrykids
ReplyDeleteThe tooth fairy is very clever. hehehe
DeleteThank you x
Oh no, it really does look like you locked out on the weather. Our Easter weekend was good (not as hot as the previous one) but no rain. What a shame. Still it looks like you still had fun getting out and about. But poor ellie & her tooth. Good job the tooth fairy was around to see and hear what had happened!
ReplyDelete#Countrykids - sorry for the late reply, we were away on hols!
We have had rubbish weather for the past 2 weeks! I bet it is roasting when the kids are back at school. lol
DeleteI hope you had a lovely holiday x
