Six games my girls would love....

I always buy the girls a couple of games at Christmas....When I was a kid there was Buckaroo, Hungry Hippos, Guess Who and Monopoly....That's all I remember. Now there is so much choice.

These are some of my favourites that I have seen this year! My girls may be getting a few of these for Christmas....

Catch Phrase Board Game - Amazon - £17.99

Great fun for all the family, this all new board game version of the picture puzzle TV game show Catchphrase features individual pyramid boards. With over 250 catchphrases to guess you will have endless fun trying to figure out what they are. Mr Chips is also there to try and help you along the way!

My girls love the Catchphrase TV show and always have a lot of fun playing along so I think this might be perfect for them....

Bottle Flip Challenge Game - Amazon - £7.72

Get flippin' with this challenging game where you will complete bottle flip tasks to earn points and advance around the scoreboard. Box includes deluxe target board, 54 challenge cards, 6 bottle cap counters, 4 hoopla rings, a spinner and scoreboard. This game is the perfect way to bring the family together for a night of fun for 2 to 6 players.

My teen still loves bottle flipping and she does my head in with it....This is the perfect game for her. At least it would give a point to her flipping. lol

Pie Face Sky High Game - Argos - £19.99

Step right up! The hilarious and wildly popular Pie Face game now lets players test their strength as they attempt to give their opponent a face full of whipped cream. The game is set up like a strength-tester carnival game towering over 3 feet tall. One player stands, looks through the mask, and faces the throwing arm. The other player hits the base plate with the plastic hammer hard enough to "pie" their opponent! The game has an easy-to-adjust difficulty setting, making it fun for young players and adults.

Over the years we have had great fun with the Pie Face games and even though they only tend to play it over Christmas it seems well worth the money for the fun that it brings!

Toilet Trouble - Argos - £17.99

Which flush will cause the gush? Share some hilarious and suspense-filled moments as players take turns spinning the toilet paper roll, flushing the toilet handle, and hoping they don't get sprayed with water! The number that turns up on the paper roll spinner dictates how many times each player must flush. Players are safe if they hear the flushing sound, but no water is sprayed. Continue taking turns spinning the roll and flushing until one player has not been sprayed. That player wins the game!

I think I first saw this on ITV's This Morning and I thought it was hilarious! Proper toilet humour....Obviously the kids will love it....lol

Bean Boozled Spinner Game - Amazon - £11.20

Intrepid jelly bean eaters can spin the dial on Bean Boozled and take their chances…If they’re lucky the dial will land on one of the utterly delicious classic jelly bean flavours but if the odds aren’t in their favour, it could be one of the weird and wacky beans that look almost identical. Stinky sock flavour, anyone?

16 flavours included. 8 wonderful and 8 weird. If you happen to get a Booger-flavoured bean instead of Juicy Pear, or Lawn Clippings instead of Lime you’ve been BeanBoozled!

We tried the Bean Boozled Jelly Beans a few years ago and the girls thought they were hilarious! I think the spinner would add to the fun....hehehe

Disney Eye Found It - Smyths Toys - £14.99

Join Mickey Mouse and friends with Disney Eye Found It Hidden Picture Game on an exciting race through 12 different Disney realms, from Peter Pan's Never Land to Pooh's Hundred Acre Wood. Along the way everyone searches for hidden iconic Disney objects. There are over 1000 things to find! With the help of fellow players, race to Cinderella's castle at the end of the giant 6-foot game board before the hands of the clock reach midnight.

Set the clock to 1:00. Once the game starts the clock is ticking and players must work together to get to Cinderella’s castle before the clock strikes midnight. On your turn spin the spinner and either move, search, or tick the clock forward. If you spin the golden Mickey Mouse ear it’s time to search! Flip over a Search Card and everyone starts looking for the item on the card. For each item a player finds that is one step forward for all players. If all players arrive at the castle before the clock strikes midnight everyone wins!

We are huge Disney fans here and I have seen this over the last couple of years and it was one of those things we never got around to buying....This year we have. I can't wait to play it with the girls.

What are your favourite games to play over Christmas?

  1. We love our Christmas board games. I've bought them all a game each so lots of fun for us all. I bought Pie Face last year but it didn't go down very well and I don't think they'd like the jelly bean game either, two of my kids have real issues when something not nice is happening to them or someone else, things that regular people find funny. I love Catch Phrase though, I wish I'd bought that! It's not too late though is it ;)
