Our Weekly Meal Plan!! - #mealplanningmonday

Last weeks meal plan went pretty well considering I was full of cold....It worked well that I was emptying the freezer. I just had to whack things in the oven or heat things through in the microwave. Nice and easy....

I am so excited for this week....We have a carol service today where my youngest Ellie has a speaking part....She has quite a few lines to say in front of the whole school & all the parents! Eek! We have the washer getting fixed tomrorow, I need to finish wrapping the presents, Ellie is going to see Joseph, breakfast out with friends and more family is visiting too.

I did an Iceland shop over the weekend to buy the meat for Christmas....Turkey, pork and beef and some more fancy stuffing. I think a the moment we have about 5 different flavours. I do love stuffing. lol The main food shop from Tesco is coming on Saturday. Keep your fingers crossed for me that everything is delivered...

I got a new cooker yesterday! An early present for Christmas from my dad....Our cooker was on it's last legs....The oven took about 40 minutes to heat and something which took 20 minutes to cook would take an hour so a fully working oven is going to take some getting used too....If I can find time we're hoping to make some mince pies. It's been years since we made any...

This week on the menu we have:

Tuesday - I'm hoping to make enough beef stew so my fella & I can have it today too. The kids want beans on toast....
Wednesday - Tomato soup with sausage rolls to dip in....
Thursday - Chicken curry & rice....
Friday - Fish & chips. Homemade if I can be bothered or from the chip shop...
Saturday - Prawn cocktail and some nice brown bread buns....
Sunday - A takeaway. Our Christmas eve tradition....

What are you eating this week?

  1. I keep thinking I need a slow cooker. Do you use yours a lot? I think I need one as that beef stew looks yum. #mmbc

    1. I've been using it at least once a week lately sometimes more. It's so easy just to fill it with whatever and then just leave it to cook x

  3. Oh my goodness. A new cooker. Now that is exciting, especially as the old one was making cooking a chore. Hope you enjoy the carol service today. #MMBC
