This past week has been the best week. #WotW

This week my Word of the Week is:

This past week has been the best week....It has been so busy and I've had moments of being stressed (mostly over silly little things) but it has been fantastic....

On Sunday my dad and his girlfriend came to visit. They picked up my great aunt and she came too....My dad brought Stu and I a new cooker and the girls a bike each which they are overjoyed with....They also got a ton of other presents which are under the tree and money....We have been spoilt rotten!

We're just about ready for Christmas....Most of the presents are wrapped apart from a couple of bigger one's which will wait until Christmas eve....The shopping is being delivered tomorrow and all the presents I had for people should be handed out by the end of today....Phew!

We found time during the week to make some mince pies....I forgot to put icing sugar on the top but it didn't matter they taste so good....We made 24 and there's about 4 left. Oops. lol

On Monday Stu & I went to Ellie's carol concert at the church and she had a speaking part....She did so well. I am biased but she was one on the best. hehehe

Ellie went to see Joseph and the Amazing Technicolor Dreamcoat starring Joe McElderry with the school yesterday and she had such an amazing time...She came in buzzing and still is. When she grows up she wants to be in shows like that....

At 1.15 both of the girls will be finished school and then we can really get into the Christmas spirit....I have liked that they finished school late but it has confused me a little....It doesn't seem like Christmas day is only a few days away....I keep thinking we have another week before the big day. lol

My great Aunt is coming for another visit today and this time she's coming with my nephew and his mother. It's a strange situation...Obviously my nephew is my brothers child but his mother is not in a relationship with my brother. In fact the last time she saw him was years ago....My brother has nothing to do with his son and it's one of many reasons why I don't speak to him....My nephews mother has made a point of keeping in touch with the family which I think is wonderful....I would class her as family more than my brother...

I hope you all have a wonderful Christmas....

  1. What a great week! Sounds like you're all set and excited there. My two don't break up until today either, which I like, but it has meant Christmas has sort of crept up on me! Have a wonderful time x Thanks for sharing with #WotW

  2. Lovely to see family and catch up. The mince pies look just as yummy without the icing sugar. I'm not sure my lot would have survived another week at school. They were so tired by last Friday. Well done Ellie in her concert. Hope you all have a wonderful Christmas. #wotw
