Ellie has decided that when school starts again she will be having a packed lunch at least a couple of times a week....She is not keen on the hustle and bustle of the dining hall and has realised if she takes a packed lunch she can eat it anywhere....I think in her head she will be having cakes, sweets and unhealthy snacks but she is coming around to the idea that there are snacks out there which are healthy and taste good too!
One of these is the HIPPEAS Organic Chickpea Puffs which we have been trying recently!
The UK’s fastest growing free-from snack, HIPPEAS are both nutritious and delicious and ideal for parents and children alike for packed lunches and after school snacks....
In line with Public Health England’s recent recommendations for children’s snacktime, HIPPEAS are under 100 calories and they are packed full of protein and fibre, making them
the ideal schooltime fuel.
HIPPEAS also contain no allergens and are free from gluten, dairy and nuts.
We were sent four of the flavours to try Sweet and Smokin’, Salt and Vinegar Vibes, Chilli Haze and Cheese and Love....
I was not expecting to like these as much as I did....It was a case of me fighting the kids for them....hehehe
My favourite was the Sweet and Smokin....The flavour was just right. They were more crunchier than I expected them to be but that was fine....I enjoyed eating them.
The kids shared the Cheese and Love and the Salt and Vinegar Vibes....They thought they tasted good but I did the thing salt & vinegar was a little strong but it could have just been the puff that I tried....Stu tried the Chilli Haze and he loved them....He isn't a big crisp eater but said he could see himself eating these regularly....
These were a hit with my family and I will be buying them for us all to snack on....
HIPPEAS® deliver across-the-board, ticking all the key boxes: Only 91 calories per bag, Vegan, Gluten free, Organic High in fibre, A good source of protein and 6 tasty flavours to choose from....
