Trying a couple of new recipes this week! #mealplanningmonday

Last weeks meal plan went pretty well....I have decided to give up trying to trick my girls into eating vegetables disguised as fries....There is no kidding them. We had carrot fries last week and they hated them....It's stupid. They will eat carrots in any other form but not these! lol

My meal planning is a bit different during the summer holidays......I learned many years ago planning the meals is OK but planning on what day we are going to eat them just doesn't work....

This week on the menu we have:

Slow cooker doner kebabs, pitta bread and red cabbage....

Bacon mac and cheese pasta bake....I think my girls would love this!

Home made fish & chips....

Spaghetti bolognese & garlic bread....

Leftover bolognese with mash on to make a cottage pie....

Chicken casserole, mash & veg....

Tomato Ketchup Chicken Skewers with rice....

What are you eating this week?

I am joining in with the linky hosted by The Organised Life Project and Katykicker. They love to meal plan too!

  1. Sounds delicious! Let me know how the slow cooker doner kebab goes as I'm interested to see if it tastes as good as it looks!
I'm going to give the bacon mac and cheese a go soon too I think :)

  2. What a great idea to use leftover bolognaise sauce to make shepherds pie. Great tip!

  3. Oh I know what you mean, we are always swapping what we have on what day. I've been so lazy lately and we have had far too many take aways. We may have some home made fish and chips this week.

  5. So many lovely things on your plan this week Kim. My aim for September is to get out of a cooking rut and try lots of different recipes that are fairly easy to make x
