Last weeks meal plan went well considering the kids were off school. We swapped a couple of days around but everything was eaten apart from the pizza. I decided I really fancied an Indian takeaway on Friday but I really didn't want to pay for one so I made a curry. Just using a jar of curry sauce, some chicken pieces, peppers and mushrooms out of the freezer and microwave rice. It was so good and way better then paying the prices of a takeaway.
This week I have cut down on the shopping and we're having a week of clearing the freezer and cupboards out a bit.
This week on the menu we have:
Monday - Chinese chicken thighs with noodles.
Tuesday - Bolognese over jacket potatoes.
Wednesday - Chicken Nugget Casserole with curly fries.
Thursday - Chilli con carne and rice.
Friday - Pizza.
Saturday - Greggs Sausage & bean melts with chips.
Sunday - Barbecue sausage and bean stew.
What are you eating this week?
I make curry often. It's one of the favourite meals in our house. Home made is usually best!
ReplyDeleteHmmm I've taken note of the chicken nugget casserole and sausage & bean melts, it all sounds delicious :)
ReplyDeletewe make our own currys a lot and my daughter actually prefers my home made naan breads to the shop brought ones! We'll be doing this on Saturday this week. Graham loves those sausage and bean melts, but I'm not so keen.
ReplyDeleteWell done for making your own and resisting the expense of the takeaway! Hope you're having a great week x
ReplyDeleteWell done clearing out your cupboards! I need to do the same I know for a fact there are some really odd things we could do with using up. I know I wouldn't be able to make a menu that good with the weirdness in my kitchen!

That chicken nugget casserole looks brilliant, I'm going to show my eldest that! I tend to buy the supermarket takeaway boxes, as a cheap alternative x
ReplyDeleteThe chicken nugget casserole seems something completely different. I am thinking that this is something which may have to be added to one of our meal plans in the future.
