Our weekly meal plan! 1st - 7th April. #MealPlanningMonday

April already! I wish this year would slow down a bit!

Last weeks meal plan went well. We ate most of the meals I had planned. We moved the pizza to Saturday and we made our own like we have done plenty of times in the past. Well I cheated and bought the ready made bases and we added our own toppings. The kids always have great fun adding what they want.

On Sunday I had a McDonalds breakfast in bed and an Indian takeaway for tea. The kids aren't keen on Indian takeaways so when I get one it's always a treat, well it would have been but the recipe has been changed and it was not too my taste. I ended up with a chip butty and the poppadoms and dips. Ugh!

This week on the menu we have:

Monday - Mince and dumplings with mash.
Tuesday - I'll use the leftover mince to make a cottage pie with sweet potato mash on top.
Thursday - Fish fingers in tomato ketchup wraps.
Friday - Pizza.
Saturday - Home made fish & chips.
Sunday - Chicken & chips.

What are you eating this week?

  3. Oh no, what a shame that your takeaway wasn't up to scratch. I find our local has different chefs on different days and the same meal can taste totally different depending on who cooked it. At least you got a mcd breakfast in bed, what a treat! #mmbc

  5. My kids love Indian. My son chose to go to our local Indian restaurant for his birthday meal out when he was really young.

  7. Sorry that your takeaway was a disappointment. The place we wanted to go to yesterday was fully booked, so we're going tonight instead

  9. Tonight we went to the chip shop, I was just to tired to even think about what to cook. I need to get more organised before I work out the rest of the week. Sorry to hear that your take away was not such a treat. I do find that Indian take aways can be a bit hit or miss. x

  10. Gutting to hear your Indian was not up to normal standards. You have some amazing meals planned some which sound super simple yet very effective. Homemade fish and chips would always go down a huge treat in this house.
