We've been in the new house just over a week and we are settled! Becky has a date to go to college for her interview and to have a look around and Ellie is in at the local school. We had the choice to start her for the last week before the summer holidays but decided just to start her in September. She's had a lot of changes over the last couple of weeks and has coped brilliantly. I don't want to push her too much, plus I have the uniform to buy. Eek!
Now for a photo every day!

I did it! I added a domain to hide the blogpost part of my blog address. I needed to with moving house. Being called Northumberland Mam while living in Scunthorpe was not going to work. lol It was a lot easier than I expected it to be.

I have had a croquet set for years. It was sat in our old shed unable to be used as we had no grass but it was too good to throw away or sell. Now we have a garden the kids can play with it and have, nearly every day this week.
177/365 - 1st July
There is one solitary rose in my garden. The rest of it is weeds. I will get around to weeding it eventually.
177/365 - 2nd July
I hid in the kitchen away from the kids. It took them ages to find me as I was around the corner, sat on the bench, behind the fridge, enjoying the view!
177/365 - 3rd July
We ventured into Scunthorpe town centre for the first time. We had an appointment and I had my first ever Starbucks. It was nice but expensive. I don't get why everyone raves about it. lol
177/365 - 4th July
Ellie is sticking to the rule about not leaving toys downstairs and has in fact being playing more upstairs. The other night it was with her creepy reborn doll. It looks too real.
177/365 - 5th July
I think I have finally unpacked all the ornaments, photos and nick-nacks. We found the living room clock too. I have been losing track of the time for the past week without it.
So pleased that you have all settled in so quickly. Your new house and garden look lovely. That's great news that Ellie has got a school place. It seems sensible to wait until the new school year.
ReplyDeleteI don't drink coffee, so I don't know what Starbucks is like, but all takeaway coffees do strike me as rather expensive!
Glad to hear you settled in so fast. The rose is beautiful. The long ledge/shelf (is it above the fireplace?) is a great spot for all photos and knick-knacks.
ReplyDeleteI'm not a fan of Starbucks at all, I find their coffee very bitter. Yikes, that reborn doll is creepy, she'd haunt me in my dreams, and I'd be scared to sleep in the same house as her. :)
Well done on getting the name change. Suits the blog well. Glad you're all settled in. Never been to Scunthorpe other than for a work meeting, Love a game of croquet
ReplyDeleteCongratulations on your move. You certainly seem to be making it into a home already. Glad you have the girls nearly sorted for new school/college.
ReplyDeleteSounds like it is all going well and you have settled in nicely! Most of the coffee shops are ridiculously overpriced!
ReplyDeleteI must say I do find those reborn dolls creepy!
Glad you've settled in so quickly and you picked a great week to move, weather wise and to enjoy new found toys in the garden. I prefer Starbucks as they seem to be the only place that doesn't over boil the milk (steams it properly) and the temperature is right. Scunthorpe is still fairly north in my opinion...lol
ReplyDeleteLoving the new blog name. I wouldn't have a clue when it comes to domain. I've yet to try a Starbucks myself too and am surprised how costly they sound.
ReplyDeleteglad you made it across and in time to join in.
ReplyDeleteSounds like you are all loving the new house.
I dont drink coffee but will never get why people pay the imo expensive prices for what is after all something that will take you about 20p to make at home.
My daughter pays over £2 for a black coffee!!!
You've experienced big changes and your new blog name shows it. I've always been fascinated by croquet and want to play it one day. Funny of you to hide in the kitchen from your kids. Good to know you've all adjusted to your new home
ReplyDeleteGlad you are settling into your new home and found the blog transition was easier than expected! #project365
ReplyDeleteSounds like you are all settling in wonderfully. I can not imagine they do much in the last week before the Summer holidays anyway. I am super impressed with the fact that you managed to change your blog domian. I have struggled with my theme recently. I honestly have no idea what I am doing. Love the view from your window and look forward to seeing more flowers. Well done on finishing the unpacking x
ReplyDeleteGlad the move went well, and that you're settling in. Love the new blog name and great news re the unpacking #365
