My favourite meal from the past week was the gammon, new potatoes and veg, of course it was covered with gravy and the kids loved the spam fritters. When I mentioned them on social media everyone seemed to say they hadn't had them from years. They're my favourite from the chip shop but now Iceland are selling them.
On the menu this week we have:
Monday - Sweet & sour chicken with rice.
Tuesday - Mince & dumplings with mashed potatoes.
Wednesday - Homemade Egg & bacon McMuffin's.
Thursday - Salmon pasta.
Friday - Fish, chips and mushy peas.
Saturday - Smoked ham and lentil soup.
Sunday - Leftover soup.
What are you eating this week?
Oh wow! I remember spam fritters from school dinners! They were very greasy though! My gran used to make dumplings with spam inside them - they were really yummy!
ReplyDeleteThanks for sharing the salmon recipe - it sounds easy and delicious.

I remember them being greasy too and they are from the chip shop but the frozen one's weren't too bad with them being cooked in the oven. I love the sound of those dumplings x
DeleteThe gammon, new potatoes and veg sounds delicious! I don't really meal plan, as I live in a care facility and get microwaveable meals delivered. I do really want to create a food plan for my other meals though. #MMBC
ReplyDeleteThe gammon was amazing. It's not something we have often so it made a nice change.
DeleteGood luck with your food plan x
Ooh mince and dumplings with mash - that needs to be added to my list of things to make with mince. The ham and lentil soup sounds delicious too.
ReplyDeleteMince & dumplings is something I cook when I overbuy mince. Some always ends up in the freezer x

DeleteMy husband is a huge fan of Spam. He buys it and keeps it in the freezer, since I don't usually eat it. I have never heard of Spam fritters, though. I am going to have to show him this post. I am sure he will want to try to find it!
ReplyDeleteOhh! I hope you can find some, you could always make some. They're just battered spam. x
DeleteSome yummy sounding meals planned this week. Can’t say I’m a huge fan of spam though. Have a good week x
