Our weekly meal plan! 21st - 27th February. #MealPlanningMonday

Our Weekly Meal plan

Last weeks meal plan didn't go to plan but it's fine. Lots of meals weren't eaten due to the kids changing their plans and us just not fancying what I had planned to eat. Nothing was wasted as a lot of the food was coming out of the freezer anyway, we just ate different things. I'm not being too hard on myself, it was half term and we all had a lovely week. I did a lot of watching TV and pottering around the house and the kids had a couple of days out with friends.

I hope everyone was OK after the storms. We had the back end of storm Eunice but I don't think it was any worse here than the previous storm we had the middle of last week. I did see the news about all the damage it caused, some of it was truly awful.

This week the kids are back at school and college, I don't think they have anything exciting happening and I don't have much planned apart from the usual housework. I am ready for a nice, quiet week. The weather doesn't look that great so I am planning a week of warming meals which are our favourites.

On the menu this week we have:

Monday - The roast dinner that we didn't have yesterday.
TuesdayLeftover roast dinner pie with mashed potato.
WednesdayWaffle pizza fries.
Thursday Beef and baked bean stew. I won't add the potatoes to the stew and we'll have mash again.
FridayFish & chips.
SaturdayPork and apple sausages and potato wedges.
Sunday - A fry up. Sausages, bacon, eggs, tomatoes, mushrooms, beans and toast.

I am linking up with Karen over at Cat's, Kids, Chaos who is the host of the meal planning linky. If you blog about your meal plan do come and link up!

  1. We were lucky as far as storms go. It wasn't too bad here, although it's blowing a hoolie today!
Love the idea of using up Monday's leftovers to make a pie for Tuesday.
    Fab plan. x

  2. We've been doing awful following our food plan but I do make sure to cook up a meal based on what we have that's fresh and going bad and saving those freezer items/ meals for another day. But mostly I've been cooking more what I am in the mood for (or just feel like I have the energy to cook) and not worrying too much. Tonight we're having chicken soup and fresh bread; neither of which was on our menu for the whole month but I'm fighting off a stuffy nose and sore throat and know that will hit the spot.

  3. I always do a meal plan in the holidays but it tends to get thrown out of the window, depending on what we are doing ! I love the sound of everything on this week's plan, probably because I can't get half of it over here (beans, sausages, bacon, gravy ...)

  5. When I have leftovers from a roast dinner I do a 'fry up' where I just put everything into a frying pan to heat up and make some extra gravy. I do like the idea of a pie though. Enjoy your week.

  7. I love the idea of the Roast dinner pie. Might try that. We had half term last week, and we didn't eat at home as much either, my kids have way more of a life than the adults do. Thanks for linking up to #mealplanmonday
