Our weekly meal plan! 9th - 15th May. #MealPlanningMonday

Our weekly meal plan

Last weeks meal plan was a bit hit and miss. The first half of the weeks went great and then not so much. The gammon dinner was amazing, I am obsessed with onion gravy now since I made it a while ago in a recipe from Gousto. The Pringles Chicken was a huge success. (I will have a blog post about that soon). After Wednesday the meal plan went downhill. We ended up with corned beef toasties on Thursday, spam fritters, chips and baked beans on Friday and then we made our own pizzas on Saturday.

Stu has a job interview today which he is all ready for. It's been at least a couple of years since he wore smart trousers, a shirt and proper shoes so they had to be found and the iron has been out. Thankfully everything still fits, Stu was a little worried about the trousers. lol. I have plans of my own today too. I am off out with my dad and his partner. I need to go to town and they were going anyway so I am tagging along with them while they do their food shopping in Aldi. It's been a while since I last visited Aldi so it seems like such a treat. For the rest of the week we don't have much else planned.

On the menu this week we have:

Monday - Who knows? I am planning to pick up something nice from Aldi.
Tuesday - Burgers in buns with corn on the cob & salad.
Wednesday - Sausage casserole, mash and carrots. I am hoping to make enough to put some in the freezer.
ThursdayChicken Fajita Rice.
FridayFish fingers, chips and baked beans.
Saturday - Pizza or maybe a takeaway as the Eurovision final is on.
Sunday - A roast dinner of some sort.

What are you eating this week?

  1. Good luck to Stu for his interview and I hope you enjoy your trip to Aldi. I'll have to get some snacks in for Eurovision, I can't believe that Boo turned around the other day and said "what is Eurovision" so I guess we are watching it this year!

  2. I am determined to do better with our menu this week as I did just awful with it over the weekend... we need to eat at home more than we eat out! LOL. I do have a turkey breast in the crock pot that I'll serve with baked potatoes, asparagus, and salad for tonight and then we're making a new chicken dish in the crock pot tomorrow since I had a late hair appointment.

  3. Ooh I hope the job interview went well. Just look at it as great practise, if nothing else, and well done on fitting into the trousers. I'm very impressed ! Hope you managed to find some fab buys at Aldi. Loving the sound of sausage casserole and the chicken fajita rice - great idea ! xx
