Our weekly meal plan! 16th - 22nd December. #MealPlanningMonday

Our weekly meal plan

Last weeks meal plan went well, in the sense that we ate just about everything but mostly not on the day that I had planned. The Gousto meals were good and my favourite was the pork & sage stuffing pizza. Who'd have thought that stuffing flavours and cranberry sauce would work on a pizza. We got a cheeky takeaway over the weekend and it was nice.

This week I'm not getting a Gousto box or really doing any food shopping as we have the big Christmas food shop coming this time next week. I actually went online during the week and added everything that I needed to the online shop, I've already been back on three times and changed and added things. I've decided I'm not even going to bother ordering parsnips as they never get delivered for Christmas, I'm just going to go to the farm shop.

I don't have much planned for this week apart from delivering presents and cards to family and get those last little things done that need doing in the run up to Christmas. I have a ton of lists reminding me of things that I need to do like take the meat out of the freezer a day early as we are having our Christmas dinner on Christmas eve so Becky can enjoy it as she's working right over Christmas. I already feel muddled up with what day it is and we're still just over a week away from Christmas. Heaven help me next week. lol

On the menu this week we have:

Monday - Chinese pork ribs and egg fried rice.
Tuesday - Fish fingers chips and baked beans.
Wednesday - Sausage pasta and garlic bread.
Thursday - Pies, mashed potato and veg.
Friday - Pizza.
Saturday - A fry up with sausage, bacon, eggs, black pudding, mushrooms, tomatoes and toast.
Sunday - Prawn cocktail salad with some nice brown bread.

What are you eating this week?

  2. My family go food mad this time of year. My daughter has just come back from the Asian supermarket and spent £50. I asked what meals she bought and she said none but spicy noodles, it's all treats and drinks. Then we are going to wonderfully expensive M&S on Thursday ( in fact they are not too bad depending on what you go for) Thankfully big son is paying for that shop. Then we have the Christmas delivery on Sunday, which is mostly the basics x

  3. That sounds like a good menu for this week. We are having a Christmas dinner next Monday and picky bits on Christmas day, the kids don't like roast meals so we compromise. I'm getting my days muddled up the same as you, we will probably be like this until new year now lol x
