Week 48 of #Project365 24th - 30th November! A photo every day for a year!

I hate weeks like this past week where it's a big come down from the excitement of the previous week, my birthday and visiting York Christmas Market! It's all felt a bit meh but it hasn't been a bad week. I feel like I've shaken this cough and cold off, the Christmas decorations went up, we had some news that we have been waiting for since the summer and Ellie and I finally went to the cinema to see Wicked! (It was amazing!). We are now obsessed with listening to the soundtrack!

Yesterday I spent the day catching up on the washing, the washing machine and tumble dryer were going almost all day and today I don't have any plans at all apart from watching Christmas movies! Last week I watched Hot Frosty that was so bad it was good, Meet Me Next Christmas which was predictable but sweet and The Merry Gentlemen which was terrible, it felt so rushed! I think today I am going to go back to the classics and watch The Polar Express and The Muppet Christmas Carol! It is December the 1st after all!

Now for a photo every day!

Spike Fridge magnet and xmas decorations
Gingerbread cheesecake and fried eggs
Mobile phone and my youngest and I
Empty washing basket

329/365 - 24th November
My Spike fridge magnet that I got from York Christmas Market. Not very Christmassy but I have never seen one before and I do love Spike from Buffy the Vampire slayer.

330/365 - 25th November
The Christmas decorations were brought out of storage and put up. It didn't take as long as past years, I think it was because I did the tree and my family did the rest following my instructions.

331/365 - 26th November
Becky and I went out for lunch and they are going all out for Christmas with lots of festive desserts. Becky had the gingerbread cheesecake and I had the mince pie frangipane. We shared and they both tasted amazing!

332/365 - 27th November
Fried eggs! I do love a fried egg sandwich for lunch with loads of red sauce.

333/365 - 28th November
I am so glad that Ellie doesn't answer her phone, a pretty important voicemail was left and she wouldn't have remembered all of the details if she had spoken to the person. I recorded it on my phone just in case it got deleted by mistake.

334/365 - 29th November
Ellie and I in the cinema. We thought we had it all to ourselves but then another couple of people came in while the trailers were on. Hmmf. It was probably a good thing as it meant I couldn't sing along to Wicked. hehehe

335/365 - 30th November
The washing basket was empty for all of 10 minutes. It didn't take long for me to fill it back up again with the clothes from mine and Stu's room. There's still a pile in the bathroom and I am sure the girls have a basket full in their rooms. Ugh!

  1. Spike is my fave Buffy character - great find. Sorry to hear you have been poorly, we are struggling with coughs and colds too. Hoping to get to a Christmas market near us too

  6. I think it always feels a bit meh after a week of celebrations, just after Christmas is like that too. The gingerbread cheesecake looks amazing as do your perfect fried eggs! Glad you got to the bottom of the wash basket I'm not sure what mine looks like.

  7. A Christmas market in York sounds like something I would love. When I lived in the UK my youngest daughter and I went with some other moms with their daughters to a different German market every December. So much fun!! I went to the one in Strasbourg one year too and that might have been my favorite. The town is irresistible. Have a great week!

  9. That's so annoying when you think you're alone in the cinema until the last minute. Did they sit really close to you as well? Glad you're feeling better, I think we'll do the tree next weekend, although the OH will moan it's too early.

  10. Lovely to get the Christmas decorations up. Fried egg sandwiches are so good! Wow to having an empty wash basket even if just briefly. I can’t remember when I last managed to get anywhere near the bottom of mine! #project365
