Last weeks meal plan went OK, we ate some of the meals and didn't eat some of them but I am not really fussed. Last week was something we just had to get through (in a good way) to get to this week!!
Here we are, so close to Christmas! Are we all ready? I am, I think, I hope anyway! Everything is wrapped, all the presents have been given to family and friends, the food shop was delivered yesterday and it wasn't too bad. There were substitutions but they were all sensible. They did make me chuckle. I went to order blueberry muffins but they were out of stock so ordered chocolate chip one's. Turns out they were out of stock when my order was picked and they sent blueberry one's. There was a few more items like that. I got what I wanted but just went the long way about it. lol. I had a walk to the farm shop for the veg and got the biggest parsnips and carrots. I also got a huge pork pie, if it's the same as last year I will be happy as it was the best pork pie I've ever eaten! I've been one of those mam's saying no, you can't eat the Christmas food yet. hehehe Today is the day when we go wild and start eating all the goodies which I have bought.
We are having our Christmas meal tomorrow as Becky is working Christmas day night so will be sleeping on the afternoon and not waking up until about 6pm and I don't want her to miss out. Today is all about getting as much prep done as I can.
On the menu this week we have:
Monday - Party food! Mini sausage rolls and pizzas, spring rolls, sandwiches, crisps, cakes and things like that.
Tuesday - Christmas dinner! I know it's a day early but that's how things are working this year.
Wednesday - Leftover Christmas dinner! I will think of you all cooking when I am sat in my armchair, taking things easy. hehehe.
Thursday - Leftovers and snacking out of the fridge!
Friday - Leftovers and snacking out of the fridge!
Saturday - We will be craving a proper meal by now so we're going to have a fry up. Sausages, bacon, eggs and all that jazz.
Sunday - Stu is going to cook which means I don't have a clue what we'll be eating.
What are you eating this week? Whatever it is I hope you have a wonderful Christmas.
