What a week we've had, it has flown over. I was talking to my fella Stu the other day planning the last couple of weeks before Christmas and he thought there were 3 more Monday's before Christmas. Nope, we're running out of time, well he is! lol I am feeling quite organised. I am here today linking up with Erika and Andrea to share my favourites from the week!
We had quite the storm here over the weekend, Storm Darragh. It started on Thursday afternoon with a lot of rain when I was out Christmas shopping. I bumped into one of Ellie's friends mums in town and she gave me a lift home so I didn't have to catch the bus. I couldn't have been more grateful to her.
On Saturday the wind was at it's worst and a few panels from our fence came down. It was my brother to the rescue on Monday with his power tools and him and Stu had fixed it and got the panels back up in no time! Stu and I couldn't have managed without him!
Wicked!
Ellie and I saw Wicked at the cinema a couple of weeks ago and I am obsessed. I have never seen the stage show so seeing the spoilers from it on line for the 2nd part of the movie have blown my mind. I have also had the soundtrack on repeat! My girls keep saying "not again"!

2 Christmas meals out!
Last week I went for a meal with friends and this week Becky and I went to our local pub for a 3 course Christmas meal. Prawn cocktail, turkey and all the trimmings and of course Christmas pudding! It was the best, which of course I expected. The chef is amazing and all the food is freshly cooked.
Last week was all about buying the cupboard stuff and this week was all about the freezer stuff. My dad took Stu and I shopping on Sunday and for the turkey, pork and party food. I of course got some extras. We were out for about 4 hours and had a lovely time. We stopped off for breakfast before shopping and despite the shops being packed we made it through with no dramas. That night I went online and amended the Christmas food shop which is being delivered just before the big day! I have everything we need for over Christmas either in the house or ordered. Phew!
My snuddie!
I got this Harry Potter snuddie a couple of years ago and last year it never made it out of storage but this year must be colder as for the last month I have been wearing it almost every day when I am at home, it's so cosy! I have found myself washing and drying it when I know that I am busy and have to wear real clothes. Becky has bought me a very similar one for Christmas with Hedwig on so it will make it easier to wash them while I am wearing one and washing the other.
The last presents!
I have ordered the last of the presents this week. The one's I am sending direct to people after I have ordered online and it was easier said than done. I had in my mind what I wanted to order people and when I went to buy the things they were out of stock or would be delivered after Christmas. Hmmf! I kept looking and got there in the end and I am sure the recipients will be happy with their gifts.
What have you loved this week?
Glad y'all are okay from the storm and congrats on finsihing Christmas shopping! Wicked is so good and you will enjoy the stage production too. The world seems ready for part 2 of this movie! Have a good weekend.
ReplyDeleteGlad the storm damage was fixed quickly! It sounds like you have had a great week and are very well prepared for the holidays.
ReplyDeleteYou are so organized for Christmas. Very impressive!
ReplyDeleteWow you do sound ahead of the game! I am feeling much better now that I have my out of town gifts sent. Have a nice weekend! I have seen the stage version of Wicked in both NY and London, but have not made it to the film yet. Hoping still to get there! Have a nice weekend.
ReplyDeleteWe had a fence panel casualty from the storm as well! A huge tree on the brook where I walk Indie had toppled too. Your Christmas dinner looks lovely. Well done on getting everything done and dusted for Christmas, I just need a few fresh bits then I'm finished. Have a lovely weekend x
ReplyDeleteLove your organization. Yum to Christmas dinner and have a great weekend!
ReplyDeleteIt sounds like you're all ready for Christmas! I have a snuddie too which I wear rather than turning the heating on, it dries really quickly when I wash it too :)
