Our weekly meal plan! 10th - 16th February! #MealPlanningMonday

Our weekly meal plan

Here's to a new week! I hope you all had a good weekend? Last weeks meal plan went pretty well but we did mess things up on Monday by going out to eat to the local pub which knocked everything back by a day, it was worth it though, the food was as good as ever! We ended up skipping the pie on Thursday and then we were back on track with the plan.

We have a good week planned for food and with things going on which I am excited about. It is of course Valentine's Day later on in the week and Stu and I have said we're not getting each other cards or gifts and we have a little something different planned instead as well as a supermarket Valentine's Day meal.

I am sure I have mentioned here on the blog how Stu changed departments at work, he is loving it especially since the early finishes are back. Finishing at half past 4 instead of 5pm. That half hour difference means he gets home a whole hour earlier and we get to eat at a decent time, 6pm instead of 7pm. He has also been a bit cheeky and asked for one Saturday off a month, his manager has said yes, they're going to work something out! Hooray! He usually works every Saturday as he chose to have a Monday off when he started for the company as the buses are not great when Bank Holidays happen but they have taken pity on him as everyone else gets at least one Saturday off a month in this new department.

On the menu this week we have:

Monday - Gousto meal - Chinese Takeaway-Style Chicken Balls With Vegetable Fried Rice.
Tuesday - Gousto meal - Bangers & Root Veg Mash With Toffee Apple Gravy.
Wednesday - Gousto meal - Venison, Pork & Red Wine Pie With Roast Parsnips. I think I am going to make parsnip chips instead of just roast parsnips. As much as Gousto sends me the recipes they are easy to change to suit what you want.
Thursday - Stu and I are having a Valentine's Day meal deal from one of the supermarkets. I'm not sure which one yet.
Friday - A takeaway of some sort.
Saturday - Depending on what we had on Friday either pizza or hot dogs in buns with fries.
Sunday - A roast dinner of some sort.

What are you eating this week?

  1. "He has also been a bit cheeky...", I love that line!! We won't tend to say "cheeky" here but of course I'm familiar with the word and am tickled to see it in a blog post :). But seriously, I am glad that his hours have changed and that he's getting a Saturday off each month. Enjoy your Monday!

  4. Mmmmm, parsnips! I am hoping to grow some in the garden this year. I agree a 6pm dinner is much preferred over a 7pm dinner...have a great week ahead!
