This past week has flown over considering that I didn't really have any plans or much to look forward to. It's not that anything bad was happening it was just a average week one of those that I was just getting thought to get to next week and the week after when fun things are happening! I have some favourites to share and I am of course linking up with Erika and Andrea.
My eldest girls bedroom! I have been asking (nagging) Becky to tidy her room for weeks, since well before Christmas and she just hasn't got around to it until this week. In her defence she works 12 hour night shifts at least 4 days a week and the rest of the time she has quite the social life but on Tuesday it finally got too much for her and decided to tidy it, properly! She was upstairs for a good few hours only coming downstairs to deal with the washing machine and tumble dryer, it turns out most of the mess in her room was dirty clothes which was no shock to me. She washed 4 full loads and has even put everything away!
WWE's Royal Rumble!
It has been years since I have stayed up and watched a live WWE event but the Royal Rumble is a big thing and I didn't have any plans for Sunday. I had planned to go to bed halfway through but when my bedtime came I just couldn't tear myself away from the TV. I thought it was brilliant with so many shocks. I am happy with the men's winner but I don't think he will win his title match at Wrestlemania! The only downside was that it has taken me all week to get my sleeping pattern back to normal.
Lost!
I loved Lost when it was first shown on TV even if it was a bit confusing and I was lost to what to watch on Sunday afternoon so decided to re-watch it!. I like to have the TV on during the day for some background noise so this was perfect as I knew mostly what was happening and can half watch it although there is so much that I had forgotten about.
Visiting the pub!
Last week I mentioned how our local pub has opened back up and we were keen to go and show our support, we went on Monday evening and had a lovely time. It was nice to have a chat with the staff and see a couple of the old bar staff back especially those who left under bad circumstances with the last owner. The chef was on top form and said even though he has cut the menu down if there's anything we want to eat we just have to ask and he'll make it if he can. How sweet!
Prolific!
I have mentioned how I earn a little bit of extra money using Prolific in the past. It is an online platform where you take part in studies, surveys and questionnaires to earn money. Usually it's a couple of pounds per study at the most but over the last couple of weeks I have got a few big one's paying out between £10 and £20 which isn't bad considering they were only around an hour long. As far as I know you can use Prolific in of course the UK, US, Australia and most European countries.
And that's, quite a short list of favourites this week from me. It hasn't been a bad week, just a quiet week which is a good thing, it's nice not to have an dramas going on!
Becky must feel good that her room is tidy. Good on her for committing to such a big task and getting it done in a few hours! I love eating at local pubs and I'm looking forward to going to our local pub soon. I'll have to check out Prolific. I do surveys on Pureprofile, but they don't pay very much. Have a great weekend xx
ReplyDeleteIt's nice to have a local spot to stop into for a bite to eat. Never heard of Prolific but will check it out! It sounds like a great way to make some extra $$!

Prolifie sounds cool! This week really has flown by! Have a lovely weekend and let’s hope those Super Bowl commercials are good!
ReplyDeleteProlifie sounds really cool. This week really has Mumbai! Have a great weekend. Let’s hope the Super Bowl commercials are funny! Or moving, some of the touching ones are good too.
ReplyDeleteThat sounds like a lovely and quiet week. We had one of those too.
ReplyDeleteIt sounds like a lovely week! Can you believe that I have never seen Lost?!?
ReplyDeleteI love Lost too, I'd love to rewatch it someday.
ReplyDeleteI use Prolific too Kim, the studies are always interesting to complete. It sounds like you had a great time at the pub, it's good that some of the old staff got jobs back there too. My week was a quiet one too and I always worry I'll have nothing to write about.
ReplyDeleteYay to a quiet week!
ReplyDeleteProlific has some good payouts, I've used it for some years.
I bet Becky feels better in her tidy bedroom! I've nagged at Jayden and he did his this weekend. His room was like a squatter's pit. I don't know how he gets it in such a state. xx
Sounds like a great week Kim. I hope this note finds you and your family well.
