This week my Word of the Week is: Discoveries! #WotW

This week my Word of the Week is:

The word discoveries

This has been an interesting week. I have made a few discoveries. One big one and a few little things which have made my life a bit easier.

I use Gmail and I have hated it since it updated a little while ago but I am starting to love it again thanks to a little thing I discovered during the week. There's a little thing on the side of my emails where I can write a list which makes things so much easier keeping track of blog posts which I need to write. It is a total game changer for me. I have used lists before online but they have always been on a different programme or website so it's a case of out of sight out of mind. With this on Gmail, it's there all the time!!

A to do list app which I found attached to gmail and a Bon Jovi tshirt

I have used Sports Direct for years and earlier in the week I came across a part of their site which I hadn't seen before the official section which sells t-shirts and hoodies for bands, TV shows, Harry Potter and so much more. I came across it by accident when I was looking for a Bon Jovi t-shirt for my dad's girlfriend. My dad bought him and her tickets to see them next year and I thought a t-shirt would be a fab pressie for Christmas. As if my dad is going to see Bon Jovi on tour and I'm not. Hmmf. I am majorly jealous! hehehe

I also found out that Ellie was being bullied at school again! Grr! I knew there was something off with her before half term but put it down to her being poorly and just tired. She came home on Monday and blurted everything out between sobs. A couple of the girls from primary school who bullied her in the past have started on her again. She had been ignoring them but they were being mean when she was walking home and she wanted something done about it. So I wrote a letter about what has been gone on and she gave it to the lovely SENDCO woman who has been our contact at the school. She must have gave it to the head of the year who spoke to Ellie and then to the mean girls. The bullying has stopped for the time being. It's bound to start again which is a sad shame.

  1. I didn't know that about Sports Direct! I shall go and investigate. Hope Ellie is okay, seems some kids just can't stop themselves however many times they are told. She is a far better person than they are x Karen (Early Rising Mum)

  2. I love it when you find something new in an app that you didn't know it did. Hope it continues to inspire you. Sorry to hear Ellie is having problems again. I'm so glad that she shared it with you and you were able to sort it. Your school sounds like they like to nip it in the bud.#wotw
