Our weekly meal plan! 13th - 19th April. #MealPlanningMonday

These Monday's seem to be coming around so quickly. I hope you all had a lovely Easter weekend. My girls had more eggs then they expected. My dad and his partner dropped some round and Becky's girlfriend dropped a couple round too. We all kept our distance but it was nice to see people.

Last weeks meal plan went well but it's got to the point now where we're running out of things and I haven't got a delivery for another 9 days or so. We have the little shops near us but it's costing us a small fortune. For example 99p for a tin of peas when I usually pay about 30p. For us to go to the big supermarket it would mean getting a bus there and a taxi back which would cost about £25/30 at least so we're relying on online deliveries. We're making do but it's getting frustrating now.

We didn't have anything cooked in the slow cooker yesterday. We ate chocolate on and off all day so didn't fancy much. We had fried egg sandwiches.

This week on the menu we have:

Monday - Mince & dumplings with mash & veg.
WednesdayPork & apple sausages (from our local butchers) with potato wedges.
ThursdayTuna pasta.
Friday - Scampi, chips and peas.
Sunday - Sandwiches, crisps, cakes and snacky bits.

What are you eating this week?

  1. I don't drive either, so I'm really pleased that we have a local Lidl, literally five minutes away. I can imagine how scary it must be at times to not have easy access to the shops. On the other hand, you do have a lovely garden, which is a definite bonus ! It all sounds lovely to me - I haven't had scampi for years !

  4. Great meal plan, especially the calzone pizza. Yeah we are getting bored of food and struggling will ideas now. We had a good Easter but for us it was just like any other day as Freddie didn’t really understand it. Loving the warm weather though.
