Father's day is coming up and here is another great idea for a gift for your dad or the special man in your life. The Kikkerland Chemistry Flask.
Hip flasks became popular in the form we know them. Before the 18th century they were made from leather or glass. They were generally used by the gentry provide a warming dram while on hunting or fishing expeditions. Their curved shape makes them easy to carry against your hip or thigh without anybody noticing. They're not meant to be used to sneak alcohol into pubs of clubs, they're there for having a cheeky drink at the end of the night or when you are out where it is permitted to drink alcohol. They have became popular now as gifts, not only for men but women too.
This hip flask is something a little different. You'll really make the grade with the Chemistry book. Hidden inside the chemistry book is a stainless steel flask, ready to hold all your favourite concoctions.
The Kikkerland Chemistry Flask would make a great gift. It is something that my fella is going to think is a bit of fun. There are some people we know who use hip flasks, they add a nip of whisky to their coffee in the middle of winter which I think is a fantastic idea to warm you up. Obviously not if you are driving or are at somewhere like work.
Made of stainless steel and measuring 16 cm by 10.7 cm by 3.3 cm is is just the right size to hold 4 measures of alcohol. This costs £12.85 from Amazon and I think that is a great price for a gift.
Flasks are intended for use with straight, undiluted spirits. In general it is best to fill a stainless steel flask with hard liquors, such as scotch, whiskey, rum, or vodka. Remember to drink responsibly.
I was sent the The Kikkerland Chemistry Flask free of charge in exchange for this blog post.
What a fab gift idea. I love the chemistry design very quirky. It reminds me of Breaking Bad. x
