Week 23 of #Project365. 4th - 10th June. A photo every day for a year!

I have had a quiet week and it has been nice. After being so busy during half term I needed the rest once the kids had gone back to school and college plus I had all the jobs around the house to catch up on that I hadn't bothered doing during half term.

Stu has been applying for jobs recently. Since Covid his hours have been cut and we were just to say managing so he wanted to look for a full time job. I've been looking for a job too but nobody wants me. lol Anyway he had an interview a little while ago and heard back yesterday that he got the job. He starts on Monday!! It's full time hours which means more money, it's permanent and there's chance of promotion. The only negative is that it's an hour away on the bus but it's do-able. Years ago he used to do a 2 hour commute to work and back so it should be fine. It's just going to take some getting used to.

The weather has been a bit hit and miss this week. One minute it was sunny, the next raining and then sunny again just like the rain hadn't been here. At least for the later part of the week it's been warm and from looking over at the weather forecast it's supposed to be nice over the weekend.

Now for a photo every day.

My flower bed
Titanic on the TV and a Epilator
Sunflowers and blue sky
My dad's reliant robin car
Washing on the line

155/365 - 4th June
Every time I look at the flowers in the planter in the front garden it looks like there's more of them. They're doing so well compared to how they started.

156/365 - 5th June
I had been fancying watching the film Titanic for a few weeks and of course I could only find it on Sky TV to download and pay for and I wasn't that desperate but I spotted it on Disney+. Apparently it's just been put on there. Hooray.

157/365 - 6th June
I had been seeing this type of hair remover on TikTok for weeks but found one cheaper on ebay, I paid £8 and got myself and Becky one. I didn't believe they would work. You just rub it on hair and it vanishes. I tried it straight away and it's pretty good. I got no rash like I do with shaving and I didn't have to faff around wetting my legs like I do with a razor.

158/365 - 7th June
My sunflowers seem to be growing well. I thought I had killed them off a few weeks ago when I moved them but they've came back to life.

159/365 - 8th June
It was nice to see the blue sky after a rainy morning. This was out the back of my house, out the front there was still grey clouds.

160/365 - 9th June
My dad is cracking on with one of his projects, doing up a Reliant Robin. He is doing great so far. It's running, the lights are just about all working and he just needs to give the breaks a good test.

161/365 - 10th June
Washing out on the line. It's a never ending job which I am getting sick of when the kids only wear something for 10 minutes then put it in the dirty wash pile. Ugh!

  4. I feel the pain with the washing. I've only got one but he's a nightmare with putting only once worn or something that's tried on only straight in the wash. Hope Stu's job goes well. I'd been looking at those hair removers too, but couldn't justify the price if they didn't work, but I might look some more into them if they're quite good.

  6. So nice to have a quiet week. Well done to Stu on his new job and hope that you all settle into the new routines quickly. The flowers in your planter are so pretty. Glad the sunflowers are doing well too. I need to move mine out into the garden. Good luck to your dad with doing up the Reliant Robin. Haven’t seen one of those in years! #project365

  7. Well done to your husband on his new job. My husband has an hour's commute too which isn't ideal, you just have to juggle. We have found finding full time work really tricky

  8. Good luck to Stu with the new job, hope the travel time isn't too hard on him. Love seeing your dads projects, is he like DelBoy in real life? lol. The planter looks so pretty. Chickenruby

  9. Congratulations to Stu on the new job! Laundry is eternal, I think. My epilator certainly isn't painless, been using it for years as quick and long lasting. #project365
