Our weekly meal plan! 27th June - 3rd July. #MealPlanningMonday

Our weekly meal plan

Last weeks meal plane went well. We ate everything and I am glad that I had planned easy to cook meals with it being so warm. I didn't feel like being in the kitchen and most evenings we weren't eating until at least half past seven when Stu had got in from work, Ellie from being out with friends and when it had cooled down a little.

I don't know what it was last week but I had no idea what to cook for this week and to be honest we didn't really need a shopping delivery as we had plenty in the freezer and cupboards. I was lacking inspiration so I decided to order another Gousto boxI am looking forward to the meals and trying some new things. My family are determined that they don't like lamb but they've had it plenty of times before when I've bought lamb mince by mistake or the supermarket have sent it as a substitute. They just don't want to think of eating cute baby lambs. From now on to my family it will just be called spicy apricot stew. lol

We have a fun weekend coming up. The 2nd weekend that we moved to Scunthorpe my dad took us to a local agricultural show but Covid has stopped it happening ever since until now. This weekend it's going ahead again and we can't wait. It's a proper country show with cattle, sheep, horses, lots of stalls, fairground rides, displays and entertainment. I don't think we'll be wanting much to eat when we get home from the show as we will be eating lots of yummy food during the day.

On the menu this week we have:

Monday - Gousto - One-Pot Spicy Lamb & Apricot Stew.
Tuesday - Gousto - Thai-Style Pork Patties With Sweet Potato Wedges.
Wednesday - Gousto - Sticky Honey Mustard Posh Dogs With Chips.
Thursday - Gousto - Vietnamese-Style Pork With Sticky Rice And Crunchy Salad.
Friday - Pizza.
Saturday - Eating out.
Sunday - Eating out.

What are you eating this week?

  1. It looks like the Gousto box gives you a really varied selection of meals. Interesting.

  2. The agricultural show sounds exciting, and your Gousto box meals sound really nice too. I like meal boxes when you run out of inspiration, it's a shame they can so expensive. I'm back on the Mindful Chef boxes but only because they called me and offered them at half price for 4 weeks.

  3. Posh dogs sound interesting (and very yummy). I'd love to see a picture after you've made them!

  4. Good idea renaming your stew!! The agricultural show will be heaps of fun. We used to go to The Royal Easter Show here in Sydney. It sounds similar to the one you are going to go to. I loved looking at all the farm animals and fruit and veggie displays etc. I look forward to hearing about it xx

  5. The agricultural show sounds like a lot of fun. Love the sound of the Gousto box meals too - I might have to come up with my own versions of some of those meals as they really appeal to me ! Plus we're almost on school holidays so I'll have more time to cook - woohoo ! :)
