(Ad - Gifted) Books from Books2Door for some summer reading.

Every year I always say that I am going to make time to read but hardly do. A book can last me 6 months, I always say that I prefer to read blogs than books but Books2Door have given me some motivation to get me reading by sending me some fantastic sounding books to read. I love sitting outside while the weather is so nice but I finding it boring just sitting so I was thinking that I can do some reading while I am out there.

Fiona Gibson Collection 4 Books Set

I was sent the Fiona Gibson Collection 4 Books Set, in paperback to get my teeth into which I think will keep me busy over the summer.

Titles in this set include :

The Mum Who’d Had Enough
After sixteen years of marriage, Nate and Sinead Turner have a nice life. They like their jobs, they like their house and they love their son Flynn. Yes, it’s a very nice life. Or, at least Nate thinks so. Until, one morning, he wakes to find Sinead gone and a note lying on the kitchen table listing all the things he does wrong or doesn’t do at all. Nate needs to show Sinead he can be a better husband – fast. But as he works through Sinead’s list, his life changes in unexpected ways. And he starts to wonder whether he wants them to go back to normal after all. Could there be more to life than nice?

The Mum Who Got Her Life Back.
When her 18-year-old twins leave for university, single mum Nadia’s life changes in ways she never expected: her Glasgow flat feels suddenly huge, laundry doesn’t take up half her week, and she no longer has to buy ‘the Big Milk’. After almost two decades of putting everyone else first, Nadia is finally taking care of herself. And with a budding romance with new boyfriend Jack, she’s never felt more alive. That is, until her son Alfie drops out of university, and Nadia finds her empty nest is empty no more. With a heartbroken teenager to contend with, Nadia has to ask herself: is it ever possible for a mother to get her own life back? And can Jack and Nadia’s relationship survive having a sulky teenager around?

When Life Gives You Lemons.
Between tending to the whims of her seven-year-old and the demands of her boss, Viv barely gets a moment to herself. It’s not quite the life she wanted, but she hasn’t run screaming for the hills yet. But then Viv’s husband Andy makes his mid-life crisis her problem. He’s having an affair with his (infuriatingly age-appropriate) colleague, a woman who – unlike Viv – doesn’t put on weight when she so much as glances at a cream cake. Viv suddenly finds herself single, with zero desire to mingle. Should she be mourning the end of life as she knows it, or could this be the perfect chance to put herself first?

The Dog Share.
When a shabby terrier turns up at her door. Just like Suzy, Scout has been abandoned, although only Suzy has been left with a financial mess and a business in tatters thanks to her ex. Suzy takes Scout in and her chaotic world changes in unexpected ways: strangers have never been more welcoming and her teenage kids can’t wait to come home to visit. Then a chance encounter on a windy Hebridean beach makes things more complicated, because Suzy isn’t the only one who needs a friend. Scout has plenty of love to go round… but does Suzy?

I love the sound of these books and can't wait to read them over the summer. I will be sure to let you know what I think of them.

If you are looking for books for children Books2Door have a fantastic selection of those too. In the past we have featured some fantastic books from Books2Door aimed at older children. The Dork Diaries Collection and this time last year a couple more box sets featuring the Harry Potter Complete Collection and the Horrible Histories Blood Curdling 20 Books Collection.

Books2Door have launched a brand-new delivery service, Books2Door PLUS+ this week and you can find out more about it on their website but the basic idea is that the Books2Door PLUS+ delivery service gives you free delivery for 12 months. With two options, Silver or Gold. It’s easy to get started, simply add the ‘Silver’ or ‘Gold’ delivery to your cart and they will update your account.

PLUS+ SILVER = Pay £6.95 one-off fee and get all orders delivered for the next 12 months (standard shipping)

PLUS+ GOLD = Pay £9.95 one-off fee and get all orders delivered for the next 12 months (express shipping)

I think that sounds fantastic since Standard Delivery is  £2.99. This would be great if you buy a lot of books or are a big reader. The savings on delivery would mean you can buy yourself some more books. hehehe

What are you reading at the moment?

I was sent the books mentioned free of charge in exchange for this blog post.

  1. These all sound great! I'm not reading anything at the moment but I love the sound of The Mum Who’d Had Enough :o)

  2. I agree the stories are so real for women even if our lives are different. Sometimes you reach a point in life where you must change and make a different way in the world. Great post! #MMBC

  3. Oh I love Books2Door and this is a great bundle. I've read three out of the four and they are all fab books.
    Enjoy! xx

  4. These sound like perfect reads for sitting out in the garden. I tend to go more to the dark side (murder, mysteries, horror) but in between I love a good Mum story or romance to lighten the mood.

  5. Those sound like wonderful books!

  6. Enjoy your reading! These all sound like lovely books. I look forward to hearing how you get on with them.
I'm a huge fan of reading and I definitely prefer books to blogs. I would happily read for hours every day, if only life didn't get in the way!

  7. I love Books 2 Doors, I got the kids loads from here during lockdown to help keep them entertained x

  8. I love getting books in the mail. Sometimes I don't even remember ordering them. Must make a very cheery day for you when they turn up

  9. I've not come across this author but these sound great summer reading #BookWormsMonthly
