Last weeks meal plan went to plan, we ate everything and that was with help from the Gousto box. We have found a few new meals which we will be making again. The Lamb & Apricot Stew went down really well considering my family say they don't like lamb, in fact they wanted seconds and from now on I will be making hot dogs using a honey and mustard glaze. It's great how something as little as some honey and mustard make something taste so much different and better!
We had a fab weekend at an agricultural show. I went with Ellie, her friend and her friends mum on Saturday and on Sunday Ellie, Stu and me went. Poor Becky had to work. We took a packed lunch on Saturday and got pizza on the way home and on Sunday we ate so much lovely food while we were there. Dinky doughnuts, noodles, fudge, more doughnuts, ice cream, pork, stuffing and apple sauce in buns, candyfloss, cookies and hot dogs. We had to keep our energy up for all the walking that we did. hehehe
Stu has finished his training at work so is now on his permanent shifts which means I have him home on a Monday from now on which is fantastic as we are always lazy on a Sunday which means there is double the tidying up and housework on a Monday. It's always easier with an extra pair of hands to help.
On the menu this week we have:
Monday - Burgers in buns with fries.
Tuesday - Spaghetti Bolognese with garlic bread.
Wednesday - Leftover Bolognese in wraps.
Thursday - Creamy chicken potato-topped pie (A Gousto recipe we have previously had), mash and broccoli.
Friday - Fish, chips and mushy peas.
Saturday - Hot dogs, corn on the cob and salad.
Sunday - Chicken and chips.
What are you eating this week?
We dip in and out of the Gousto boxes. I'm loving the convenience of them at the moment. They are great for giving you ideas on new recipes too, like you said with the hotdogs.
ReplyDeleteThe creamy chicken potato-topped pie sounds amazing and Joben will be over yours on Friday hehe! That's one of his favourites. x
