A photo every day for a year! 6th - 12th May. Week 19 of #Project365

This past week has been one of those which I am glad it's over. Someone wasn't pulling their weight where Becky works so she had to stay back an extra hour one morning with no extra pay, it's not the first time it's happened but she said it will be the last. She was fuming. The boiler broke down, we thankfully had a new one put in but I hate having workmen in the the house so I got my dad to come over and I am glad he did because he witnessed our neighbour being, how can I say it, difficult. lol Ellie has had 2 days of doing her photography exam. It was all coursework and practical work which she loves but it was still hard work, she's glad it's over but next week the written exams start.

Hooray for the weekend! We have no plans at all apart from watching Eurovision tonight! I hope we do well. If the weather is OK I might do some work in the garden but apart from that it's going to be a relaxed one.

Now for a photo every day!

Jewellery set and gin liqueur
Red light on the boiler
Washing on line and a new boiler
Marmite popcorn and Fruit roll ups

126/365 - 6th May
My aunty Jean passed away a couple of years ago. She was my dads aunt but we all called her Aunty Jean. She was a massive part of my life and her daughter has been sorting out her things and has been giving my aunts jewellery to all the ladies which she loved. I got this set and it will be treasured. I never thought a jewellery set would make me so emotional.

127/365 - 7th May
I tried out some rhubarb and ginger gin liqueur and I must say it's delicious, it will be even better on a summers evening sitting in the garden.

128/365 - 8th May
Our boiler was about 15/20 years old and has been temperamental since we've lived here but the red light showing was a new thing to us. Apparently it was a lockout light and a major problem.

129/365 - 9th May
Washing out on the line. I could do with more washing line when the weather is nice.

130/365 - 10th May
Our new boiler was put in. The workmen did a great job, there was 3 of them that worked like a well oiled machine and got it installed in under 3 hours. It's amazing! We didn't realise how rubbish our old boiler was until we got this one put in.

131/365 - 11th May
Marmite popcorn, it's for a blog post next week.

132/365 - 12th May
Fruit rollups. The kids are obsessed with these, from what I can gather they are the American version of our Fruit Winders.

  1. Bet it's nice to have a good working boiler. Hope Becky gets her work stuff sorted, and that Ellie's exams kick off ok. I can't think of much else worse than marmite popcorn. Definitely not a marmite fan here.

  2. That necklace is nice...and a lovely memory for you to keep.

Our boiler is around 15 years old now too and I feel like it might break soon! Glad you got a new one fitted quickly.
