What I have loved this week! Week 10. #FridayFavourites

Hello there and happy Friday! I have had a pretty boring week, it hasn't been a bad one but it was just normal. I have just been pottering around the house and there's nothing much to write about, well I thought that when I started this blog post.

I am linking up with Erika and Andrea and sharing some of my favourites from the past week.

What I have loved this week

Celebrity Big Brother!
The new series started this week and so far I am enjoying it. Sharon Osbourne is in it but just for a week, Hmmf. Her fee was more than they could afford for the whole show and I don't think she wanted to leave Ozzy alone for too long. There is a young woman who was on Love Island I didn't think I'd be a fan of hers but she is really sweet and at the moment I'm still at the stage where I don't know who I want to win, I do have a fair few people that I can't wait to see evicted.

Lighter nights!
I am sitting here writing this at almost 6pm and it's still not dark! I always think I like the darker evenings when the clocks change late in the year but at this time of year, coming into spring I am glad we are getting more daylight and the fact my youngest has missed the bus home from college a couple of times this weeks means that I am not worrying as much about her coming home in the dark.

New hair!
My hair was in desperate need of dying, just to get rid of the roots and all the grey hairs coming through. I decided to have a change from my usual red and pinks and I went purple. I also gave myself a bit of a trim and I am very happy with it. So much can go wrong when you cut and dye your own hair but I am quite the expert at it now.

More movies!
I mentioned last week that we had got the movie channels free for a couple of months as a free upgrade and I have been making the most of them again. I hadn't planned on watching the first three Matrix films on Saturday but I did. I watched the Whitney Houston: I I Wanna Dance with Somebody which was really good, the The Super Mario Bros movie which was silly but fun and then the Hunger Games movies.

Quiches!
Last week we had quiches for the first time in ages and my family enjoyed them so much they wanted them again. I made a ham and cheese, a ham mushroom and cheese and ham mushroom and tomato. I cheated and used the ready made cases but they still tasted just as good.

Making plans for Sunday!
It's Mother's Day on Sunday and I am really looking forward to it. I loved it when my girls were little but now they are older it's even better as they buy me surprise gifts. hehehe We have made a few plans which I am excited about. The girls are even on planning on getting out of bed before lunchtime to spend some time with me.

Cake!
I treated myself to some cake that came with the online food shop. It was a black forest gateaux and it was amazing. I sort of wish that I had bought a few slices but at £3 each it was a once in a while treat.

Surviving the Facebook and Insta lockout! lol
Facebook and Instagram had a funny moment during the week and it signed everyone out. I missed the whole thing and the first thing I knew about it was when I went on to Twitter and everyone asking if those sites were not working properly. lol I was surprised that I actually knew my password to log back in as I usually just stay logged in. lol

What have you loved over the last week?

  4. It sounds like you've had a nice week. I LOVE your hair! And well done on cutting it yourself. I know I would make such a mess of mine if I tried it.
I'm sat here looking at your yummy quiches and now wanting to go and make some. They look so good.
I kept trying to log in during the Facebook drama. I thought it was just our internet connection being rubbish again!
Also fancying a bit of cake now as well, hehe. xx

  6. I love your hair! The colour really suits you. It's so great how you cut and colour your own hair. I tried it a couple of times during lockdown and I did a pretty good job, YouTube tutorials really helped! Your quiches look so delicious, I always cheat too and use the frozen pastry. The black forest cake looks so delicious, what a yummy treat! Hope you have a lovely weekend xx
