Last weeks meal plan went really well. It was so nice to have a Gousto box and not really have to think of meals and have to shop for the ingredients. We did swap a couple of the meals around because on Monday Ellie and Stu wanted to do the cooking, they followed the Gousto recipe and made such a drama out of it. It really wasn't that hard but they made it look and sound so difficult. lol Eesh! The only meal we didn't eat was the pizza on Saturday night. Stu got an early finish from work and he decided we were going to have tea at the pub! I am so glad we did, we had a catch up with friends and the food was of course lovely!
This week we have another Gousto box with a couple of new recipes to try and a couple which we have had before and we know we love. This week also see's the start of birthday season starting in our house, it's Stu's, Ellie's and Becky's over the next month. I feel so unorganised this year. I still have presents to buy and them to wrap. Eek! At the moment we don't even have any plans.
On the menu this week we have:
Monday - Have you seen the weather forecast for today? It's supposed to be 32C, I certainly won't be cooking. It will be a help yourself out of the fridge type of tea. Picky bits and ice cream I think.
Tuesday - Gousto meal - Herby Pork & Egg Burger With Crispy Potatoes.
Wednesday - Gousto meal - Cheesy Sausage & Pepper Chilli Con Carne Pasta Bake.
Thursday - Gousto meal - BBQ Butter Chicken With Sweet Potato Mash And Chilli Greens.
Friday - A nice meal for Stu's birthday. We haven't decided yet.
Saturday - Gousto meal - Spiced Scotch Egg With Chips And Salad.
Sunday - A Sunday lunch of some sort.
What are you eating this week?
I don't think we have this particular company in the states, but I did Home Chef here starting back during Covid and we enjoyed that for a long while. I let it go recently as I did a new subscription box to just meat with another company. We have three birthdays in September and two in October so lots of cake here too! Enjoy your week!
ReplyDeleteTonight we're having waffled French Toast (french toast made with thick baguette slices we cook in the waffle iron), tomorrow I'm making a summer squash lasagna, Wednesday we plan on eating chicken wraps with chips... and then Thursday and Friday I'm sure we'll cook up some pork chops or chicken and a mix of veggies from our CSA box.
ReplyDeletePicky bits and ice cream for the win! It's going to be a busy birthday month at your house.
