Our weekly meal plan! 5th - 11th August! #MealPlanningMonday

Our weekly meal plan

Well hello there, our last meal plan did not go to plan and it was no fault of our own. We ate one of the meals that I had planned and that was the Sunday lunch as Stu said I needed to get out of the house. I did and it was an amazing meal. Roast gammon and lots of veg. It turns out I like red cabbage as well as the normal green one, even Ellie ate it and she hates most vegetables. lol

We have had a lot going on. Not much that I can or want to write about. I have never taken a real break from blogging before and it has been so strange. I had a few posts scheduled but apart from approving comments I did nothing with my blog for about a week. It is the longest break I have taken in over 10 years. At the end of last week when I did a sort of Project 365 post and that made me want to write blog posts again and read other blogs. I have missed catching up with everyone online. I might be back blogging every day or might miss some days as at the moment we are taking each day as it comes.

Over the past couple of weeks we have had a lot of takeaways, eaten lots out of the freezer and sandwiches, we have not eaten well. When I am stressed about things I don't eat properly and always feel sick so my appetite has not been great. I have ordered a Gousto box for this week which should help get us back on track. A couple of the Gousto meals are one's from the last time I meal planned as we didn't eat them, I froze the meat, the dry ingredients were good and I have re-bought the fresh things.

On the menu this week we have:

Monday - Gousto meal - Sticky Honey Mustard Posh Dogs With Chips.
Tuesday - Gousto meal - Sun-Dried Tomato Pork Cutlet With Buttered Potatoes.
Wednesday - Gousto meal - Loaded Chicken & Fries Fajita Tray Bake.
Thursday - Gousto meal - Creamy Bacon, Mushroom & Leek Linguine.
Friday - Gousto meal - Cheesy Pork & Beef Meatballs and Garlic Ciabatta.
Saturday - Pizza.
Sunday - A Sunday lunch of some sort.

What are you eating this week?

  3. I'm thinking I may have to go back to Gousto, we seem so fed up of our usual meals lately. I'm sorry life has been so tough for you lately. I've missed you being around so much xx

  4. I tend to not eat well when I'm stressed too; either I have zero appetite or I crave all those really unhealthy comfort foods! I find just taking a week or so away from the blog here and there finds me missing that connection too but sometimes I just need more of a break too and my readers are always here waiting for me when I come back. We just had pizza last night and I plan to make chicken fajitas tonight. Tomorrow will be BLT sandwiches with fries/chips and then something with pork tenderloin and grilled chicken breasts for later in the week.

  5. I love reading menu posts. I'm sorry you've had challenges lately and hope life settles down for you in whatever way is needed. I do love a slow cooker meal when life is off kilter. Most are cozy and I prefer cooking first thing and knowing a meal will be ready at the end of the day. We are eating left overs tonite, then have plans with friends T-W-X-and F. It will be fun but probably a lot more calories than i normally consume in a week. Take care.
