I am taking part in Blogtober16 and will be writing posts with various themes/prompts throughout October....
It's one of those things you dream about isn't it. Winning the Lottery. I wouldn't have to win big to change my life. A few million would be nice but I would be happy with a few hundred thousand...
It's one of those things you dream about isn't it. Winning the Lottery. I wouldn't have to win big to change my life. A few million would be nice but I would be happy with a few hundred thousand...
I would buy a house. Nothing huge and too fancy....4 bedrooms, two bathrooms, a big garden. I would stay in Northumberland. In fact I would probably stay in the same town where we live now. We are all settled. The kids are happy in their schools and we all have our friends....I would make sure there is a computer room. Where I can send the kids and my fella to play Minecraft. hehehe
Stu and I would both have driving lessons, hopefully pass our tests and get a car each. If we can't pass with money we can always hire a chauffeur to drive us around....hehehe
I would go on a huge shopping spree for a whole new set of clothes....Money wouldn't change me. I would still love a bargain from Primark.
We would visit America. For at least a couple of months.....I would take the kids out of school and pay the fine. We would do Disney, eat at proper American diners, see a WWE wrestling show, see a Broadway show, visit Niagara Falls, go shopping in New York, watch a baseball game and try our luck in a casino.
I would buy my dad a new mobile phone. He is hopeless. He keeps buying second hand one's and they break. I would buy him a brand spanking new one and get it insured. lol
We would have the best Christmas ever. Without having to watch what I am spending.....We would also visit Santa at Lapland, have a real tree, go crazy with presents and buy all the food we want....
I would buy a lifetime supply of socks! Yes, socks!! Just to have that great feeling everyday of fresh, perfect fitting socks.....When a pair of socks have been washed they are never as good as that first time you wear them....That is if you can even find the pair again...Which never happens in this house.....lol
There is a few people I know that need help....I've always said I would do certain things for people if I had the money. If I won the lottery I would help out the person who desperately wants to visit her family but can't afford the air fare, the person who goes without lunch everyday so she can afford to pay the bills, the person who needs private medical care and the person who walks miles because she can't afford the bus fare....
What would you spend a big lottery win on?
Good luck! Such wonderful and generous ideas #Blogtober16
ReplyDeleteThank you!
DeleteI always have a house locally on my when i win the lottery list, currently an old vicarage with a lot of land and barns..lol
ReplyDeleteI'd also tack round the world looking for a surgeon to improve my other halfs spinal problems . theres no cure but im sure things could be improved if he wasnt on the NHS scrapheap.
I would also take the utmost pleasure in telling my boss what i really thought.
the list is endless
Aww! That is so sad about your hubby! I hope you win the lottery one day to help with the spinal problems x
DeleteThese are lovely things to have on your list and not too extravagant either! I would buy lots of new clothes and book a holiday and then also help my family out as much as I could - giving my sister a deposit for a house would be top :) xx
ReplyDeleteThank you! That is so thoughtful thinking of your sister :)
DeleteSocks!! hahaha, who wouldn't love a lifetimes supply of never ending socks. I've just been out to replenish our stocks today. It's lovely that you are thinking of other people too x
ReplyDeleteIt would be fantastic...hehehe I probably waste so much time trying to pair up socks. lol
DeleteThank you!
See you in America ;-) haha x
ReplyDeletehahaha! It really seems the place to go when you win the lottery. x
DeleteI would love a massive shopping spree too. America is on my list of places to go so would see you there! :) #Blogtober16

hehehe! It seems to be everyone's dream to go to America.
DeleteThank you!
I'm so with you on the driving, learning to drive is my nemesis - I failed my test last year and am trying to get up the courage to try again. Your dream American road trip sounds amazing. I'd also love to be able to help people who are close to me.
ReplyDeleteAhh! Good luck with the driving. You will get there.
DeleteThank you x
Gosh, I love your list. So thoughtful and I think I'd be the same, still loving a bargain! xx
ReplyDeleteThank you x
DeleteOne of my dreams is to go on a road trip across the US. Ant's is to drive through Europe so we'd have to do both of those!
ReplyDeleteA Christmas with no money worries would be my idea of heaven. I wouldn't have a real tree though, I had one a couple of years back, after wanting one for years and I was very disappointed because it wasn't all I thought it was going to be! I kept forgetting to water it, it looked half dead before Christmas arrived and it didn't make my room smell all Christmassy like I expected it to! In fact, it didn't smell at all!
I like the idea of a real tree but I have heard all about the mess and disappointment. It's such a shame.
DeleteThank you x
I love dreaming up what I would do if I won the lottery, and reading what else other people would do. You have come up with one I've never seen before though, and one that I think I would now like to do - new socks every day!
ReplyDeleteI would have a house built especially for us! With my husband & sons disabilities, it would be heaven! x
