Friday was the last day of primary school for my youngest....There were tears, smiles and of course shirts getting signed....This will be something to keep forever.....On the back it says the school name leavers 2018 which I thought was so special.....

Hi Kim, what a nice thing to do. I don't remember having anything as a keepsake when I left/changed schools... Hope she enjoys making new friends at her next school. #MySundayPhoto

Congratulations! A really special time, all that hard work and saying goodbyes, now you are all set for a fab summer - enjoy x
ReplyDeleteShe looks very happy! I hope it wasn't too emotional for you, but leaving primary is such a big step, not just for kids, but for parents too!
ReplyDeleteAww so many memories of getting my own shirt signed.... Until my mum washed it :-| Don't do that hahaha! #mysundayphoto
ReplyDeleteAww he looks so proud! #mysundayphoto
ReplyDeleteHope she had a good last day. There were a lot of tears at our school's leavers service
ReplyDeleteOh my goodness, the end of an era! Exciting times to come though, good luck! #MySundayPhoto
ReplyDeleteTime flies doesn't it - hope you are feeling ok about it! #MySundayPhoto
ReplyDeleteThey did the same at Ella's school. They also gave them an autograph book at the leaver's assembly. It's printed with the school name on the front and she got all her teachers and friends to sign it. I felt sorry for the teachers having to sign over 60 books each!!
ReplyDeleteA big end of an era thing. Exciting for them, but sad for us mums. I really miss sports day and school plays and even the school gate chat!
ReplyDeleteThe T shirt is a great idea and a fun remembrance.
ReplyDeleteMy daughter had her school shirt signed. She also had a special t shirt with all the pupils names on it. I hope Ellie enjoyed her last day and is looking forward to big school x

Aww bless her, here is to new chapter in her life X #mysundayphoto
ReplyDeleteWonderful keep sake. I only did this when I left secondary school.
ReplyDeleteHere's to a new exciting chapter for her x
ReplyDeleteMy son's school made up a t shirt for them with all the names of their classmates on it, so they wasn't allowed to get it signed. The children got to wear it on their last day, I put it in his bag to get changed into but he took it out and left it in breakfast club. He went all day without it, the only one not wearing one, thinking I had left it at home (but he had it all along!)
