Our weekly meal plan! 8th - 14th July. #MealPlanningMonday

A plate, knife and fork on a red checked table cloth.

Last weeks meal plan went well. We ate just about everything but did swap a couple of nights around. We had the BBQ on Friday as it was such a lovely evening and the pizza on Saturday after we had been to an agricultural show which I will be blogging about soon. We were at the show again on Sunday too so the toad in the hole was forgotten about and we had left over BBQ food but cooked it in the kitchen.

It seems now we have moved house we are spending more time out of the house than actually in it. I don't want to fall back into the trap of relying on takeaways or ready meals so I'm going to start using the slow cooker more. I can fill it on a morning go out during the day and then have a meal to come home to at tea time. Katy who runs the meal planning linky had a fab post full of easy slow cooker recipes which I will be working my way through.

This week on the menu we have:

Monday - We're going to the cinema and by the time we get home I doubt the kids will want much to eat so a snacky tea of sandwiches, cakes and crisps. Maybe some fruit if I can tempt them.
TuesdaySausage cassoulet.
Wednesday - Vegetable fingers with egg fried rice.
Thursday - Spaghetti bolognese (cooked in the slow cooker) with garlic bread.
Friday - Leftover bolognese mix in wraps.
Saturday - We're off for an afternoon/evening out so it will be a burger or hot dog from a burger van.
Sunday - Toad in the hole, mash and veg that we didn't eat last week.

What are you eating this week?
