Week 1 of #Project365. 1st - 8th January. A photo every day for a year!

Here we are a new year, a new lockdown and a new set of Project 365 posts. I hope you have all had a good week. Ours has mostly involved looking out of the window seeing what the weather was doing, food and home learning. Not very exciting but it has kept us busy.

Now for a photo every day!

Fireworks
Views from my windows. Snowy looking over the field and wet!
Sausage and tomato pasta.
My girls doing home learning and a pizza cookie being made
School books and my youngest doing more home learning

1/365 - 1st January
Happy new year! We saw the new year in watching the fireworks that someone was letting off. They put on a great display.

2/365 - 2nd January
It snowed again but didn't lay. Before we moved here my dad said he used to get snow nearly every year. Well this is our 2nd winter and we've not made a snowman yet or even a snowball. lol

3/365 - 3rd January
Rain! If it wasn't snowing it was raining. Ugh!

4/365 - 4th January
Tomato, sausage pasta. I didn't make it, it was a family ready meal from Iceland. It would probably be cheaper to make from scratch than to buy but some evenings I want to just throw something in the oven without any faff.

5/365 - 5th January
And so it begins, the home learning. We're actually getting on OK. It seems more organised this time around with all of the teachers setting work.

6/365 - 6th January
Ellie had finished her home learning and made the chocolate pizza she had got for Christmas. Dough cooked in the oven and topped with marshmallows and chocolate. It tasted so good, she actually let me have a little bite of it. lol

7/365 - 7th January
Ellie and I had a walk to school to pick up her school books that she needs for home learning. It was so busy with other people doing the same.

8/365 - 8th January
More home learning. A tub of chocolates seemed to help her along.

  1. Happy new year, Kim! Our home-learning is organised better this time as well. At least kids have Zoom meetings with teachers every day and can discuss any questions of the day. Chocolate pizza sounds tasty! And yes to chocolate helping with learning! We haven't had proper snow yet, only a little smattering.

    1. The home learning is so organised and structured this time around. It is OK work but hard to keep my youngest focused on what she's supposed to be doing. x

  3. Happy New Year to you all. A little chocolate motivation goes a long way. What miserable weather you're having, hope you get your snow soon

  4. We rarely get snow here in Bournemouth so I am not hopeful for this year. Glad you got to see some new years fireworks from your window. Chocolate pizza sounds good to me

  6. Happy New Year! That pasta looks really good. Sometimes we have to have days where we just throw stuff in the oven. Other days the slow cooker is my friend. Chocolate pizza! I need to try one of those. Glad the home schooling is going well #365

  9. We’ve not had any snow settle either which has been disappointing. That tomato and sausage pasta looks yummy as does the chocolate pizza. Glad that home schooling has been more organised this time around for you. Chocolates are definitely a good way of staying motivated! #project365

  11. We haven't had any snow either and the boys are desperate. I am so over the rain and the home schooling although glad to hear it is going better. I think I may need a pizza like that this week! Looks delicious.

  12. I can't believe we're back to home learning again! No snow for us except a tiny dusting this morning but I've been jealous of snow pics on FB and Insta. #project365

  13. I think a tub of chocolates is an awesome idea to motivate home learning. My boys made something with little skillets this week, but they had m&m's not Nutella (I love Nutella!). Yum the pasta looks good, I might have to check out the ready meals in Iceland.

  14. Chocolate pizza?!!! That is awesome! Lovely of Ellie to share too, not so sure Liv would have! ;) That bowl of pasta looks amazing, a mighty meal and the perfect comfort food! Wasn't New Year odd without the London fireworks? The drones were quite cool but totally not the same effect, glad you got to see some going off! Sim x
