I miss getting clothes out on the line. #MySundaySnapshot

It's that time of year when I struggle to get clothes dry. I can't get anything out on the washing line and I hate putting clothes into the tumble dryer as apart from it costing a fortune ours seems to shrink clothes despite me following the instructions on the labels. The dryer is only good for towels and bedding so we are using the airers and putting the clothes on them and getting them off is a job I really hate. It seems to take forever. Ugh. I am very glad that the bathroom is so warm so I can get plenty of washing dried in there.

  1. I know how you feel, we only use the tumble dryer for towels and bedding and the rest of the washing goes on the clothes horse. I think I spend half my day washing and folding clothes. I invested in one of those heated clothes horse but it doesn't really speed things up and the bars are so close together it's extra work filling it up. I should have learned my lesson because last time I bought one of those with a blower at the bottom, but it was louder than a hairdryer and didn't really do much drying. And I bought a washer dryer once which means you had to wait for the washing and drying cycle to finish before you could start the next load of washing! We live, we learn! xx

  3. I also only put towels and bedding in the dryer. I am lucky that I live in a hot country, so 9 months of the years my drying rack goes outside in the garden. We're now in the few months that it sits in my open plan lounge :(

  6. I ended up doing a hybrid approach, using dryer and the drying rack. Our pajamas specially kept on shrinking in the dryer.

  7. I feel your pain! I also refuse to use the tumble drier for anything other than sheets and towels. I have three clothes horses permanently full of clothes - two in the spare room (which is also my office) and one on the landing.

  8. Oh I couldn't be without my tumble dryer (I know it's not environmentally friendly but it doesn't half speed up the whole washing saga). Thank you for sharing and for linking up with #MySundaySnapshot.
