A photo every day for a year! 28th Jan - 3rd Feb. Week 5 of #Project365

Finally we're into February and as soon as January ended my mood lifted. I don't know if it's because January is over, it's brighter out or because it was payday after the longest month. Whatever it is I am happier and have lots of motivation to get things done. I have had a busy week with time to myself to do things which I have enjoyed and to watch TV. I got the balance just right.

Ellie got an email from the college that she will be going to in September to invite her to meet her tutor and for an interview. She will be doing electrical engineering and is very excited. I emailed them back to confirm the appointment and to change the contact email. It's all good and well Ellie taking charge but I know how much paperwork and emails they send out especially over the summer before she actually starts college. There's the finance to sort, bus pass, all the info about the course, uniform, induction days and much more. Ellie is great but it is a lot to deal with, I remember it all from when Becky started college.

Now for a photo every day!

Blue skies
The Sims and creamy chicken pasta
A pile of clean washing and Black Panther
Our living room and chopped carrots

28/365 - 28th January
Blue skies but it was still cold.

29/365 - 29th January
A lazy day watching Happy Valley (what a great show) and playing on The Sims.

30/365 - 30th January
Stu made tea. It was supposed to be creamy chicken, leek and potato bake but he used pasta instead of potatoes. There was enough for everyone and leftovers for lunch the next day.

31/365 - 31st January
I got a ton of washing washed and dried on Monday but that meant I had a huge pile to sort out and fold on Tuesday.

32/365 - 1st February
I watched Black Panther: Wakanda Forever that was new to Disney+ on Wednesday. It was good, not as good as the first Black Panther film but still good.

33/365 - 2nd February
I had a change around in the living room. I can now be nosy again and look out of the window from my armchair.

34/365 - 3rd February
Carrots. I finally got around to making the carrot and coriander soup which I did have planned for tea on Wednesday.

  2. It must be exciting for her to have these meetings before the college starts. I think it's much better to know what to expect, as starting something new can be a bit tricky with all the unknowns. I hope she will love the college and what she plans to study.

  3. Great news about Ellie's college stuff. Hope the interview goes well. I don't think N will find it so easy to choose by the time he gets to the same stage.

  4. 'oh mum, I know what I'm doing' usually meant last minute messing around trying to sort stuff out for the kids and coming up with the money last minute. Great idea to change the contact email.

  5. That’s so great that Ellie will be starting college in September. There’s always so much paperwork to sort out. My Sam will be starting uni in the last week of February. Fingers crossed that he has organised all his things properly.I keep meaning to check!

  8. Sounds like Ellie is looking forward to college – good luck with sorting everything out in the run-up to her starting. Lovely to have blue skies and get lots of washing done – but yes it does mean a big pile to then sort out and put away! #project365

  9. I think its amazing what Ellie wants to do a college. I hope she does well. I didn't think you would need a uniform for college? We never watched Happy Valley. I have heard about it but I think we got caught up with the Walking dead #365
