Our weekly meal plan! 27th Feb - 5th March. #MealPlanningMonday

Our weekly meal plan

Oh! Look at that, we're into March this week. January seemed to last forever and February was one of those blink and you missed it months.

The positives from last weeks meal plan was that nearly all of the building work in the living room is done, Ellie's bedroom has been decorated and a new carpet was put down and we ate, just not what I had planned. We ate 3 of the 7 meals. lol We ended up getting a Chinese takeaway on Monday as we were busy tidying up and cleaning after the builders had finished working. Of course we ate the pancakes and then got back on plan over the weekend. It got to Friday night and Stu and I decided we needed a break so we went for a meal out and left the kids at home.

I don't have much on this week, it's going to be nice to have a break after having Ellie home for half term a couple of weeks ago and then last week having Stu home and all of the building and DIY work done. I might actually get the house back in some sort of order.

This week is going to be a week making do and eating out of the freezer and cupboards because by the time I realised that it was Thursday and time to order the food shop it was late on and I didn't have chance to plan what we were eating.

On the menu this week we have:

Monday - Some sort of casserole, I have plenty of veg in the freezer and no doubt some meat.
Tuesday - The Mini tomato glazed meatloaves with mashed potato and carrots that we didn't have last week.
Wednesday - Chicken dippers in wraps with salad and potato wedges.
Thursday - Vegetable fingers (like fish fingers but with just vegetables and BBQ pasta which is just pasta coated in mayo and BBQ sauce. I will add some peas and sweetcorn to it.
Friday - Fish, chips and mushy peas.
Saturday - Pizza.
Sunday - A roast dinner of some sort.

What are you eating this week?

  2. Sounds like a wonderful meal plan! We're having stuffed squash tonight (though the boys wont eat it since they all hate squash so I offered to make waffles for them-- and we'll all enjoy leftovers for breakfast), then we have some sort of steak sandwiches on the menu, some homemade pizzas I think, and pork chops cooked in the slow cooker with spaghetti sauce.

  3. A Chinese takeaway to start the week is the way to go! It's always crazy during half term and our meals were certainly later than normal! I am totally jealous of your Chippy Friday! :) This week I shall mainly be eating omelettes cooked in the air fryer, need to get firmly into Keto and protein in the way to go! Sim x
