Just a public service announcement before I get to the meal planning. Over the past few days I have had a few bloggers message me and ask if I do blogger outreach and if have messaged them. It turns out the other Kim Carberry is back again offering guest/sponsored blog posts. It started at the beginning of this year, I did blog about it when it happened and soon after the other Kim Carberry went quiet until the end of May time when they were messaging bloggers again and now they have started again as a few more bloggers have contacted me. It is not me and they have nothing to do with me. It's just the same name as me which I didn't think was actually that common. Why couldn't I just be called something common like Joanne Smith or Karen Jones then nobody would think twice about it but thank you to those who have messaged me.
Anyway onto the meal planning! Last weeks meal plan did not go to plan! I picked the meals with Gousto but it turns out I didn't do the whole checkout thing so nothing was delivered, it was all my fault! We just ate things out of the freezer. One night we had mince, onions, mash and veg, we had chicken dippers, chips and onion rings mid week and omelette another night. This week thankfully the box has been delivered so we're all good to go!
We don't have much on this week. Becky is back at work after having almost three weeks off work using her holidays up, Ellie is of course at college and Stu is at work so it's going to be a pretty quiet week for me. It will be the first week in months where everyone is where they should be and I will be at home doing my own thing.
On the menu this week we have:
Monday - Gousto meal - Sticky Honey Mustard Posh Dogs With Chips. Our favourite meal from Gousto!
Tuesday - Gousto meal - Honey & Soy Beef Stir-Fry.
Wednesday - Gousto meal - Toffee Apple, Pork & Cheddar Burger.
Thursday - Gousto meal - Sweet Chilli & Sesame Chicken Udon.
Friday - Pizza.
Saturday - Lasagne and garlic bread.
Sunday - Sausages, mash and veg.
What are you eating this week?
Your menu sounds wonderful! Your Thursday meal sounds like something I'll need to make soon. It sounds delicious!
ReplyDeleteI'm sure I 'd like the Thursday night dinner too! It's good when everyone is where they're supposed to be and life if rolling along. Have a nice week!
ReplyDeleteTonight we're having pasta with homemade marinara, tomorrow I think we'll have chicken fajita chili and cornbread... I know one night the boys want pulled pork mac and cheese and I have a chicken pot pie on the list too.
ReplyDeleteI'm making manicotti for dinner, the no-boil version because it's just a faff to have to boil the pasta when it can just cook along merrily in the sauce!
ReplyDeleteEnjoy your quiet week! Now that my husband is back at work and my son is busy with work, studying, and going to the gym, I sometimes come home to an empty house. I can't say I'm not enjoying it after a noisy day at work! Hehe
