Week 35 of #Project365 25th - 31st August. A photo every day for a year!

Happy September! Can someone tell me where August went? It flew over! I am looking forward to Autumn. I've already had my first pumpkin spice latte of the year during the week and I am looking forward to snuggling under blankets and being cosy.

We have had a fantastic week with lots going on, all of it has been good though. Everything is sorted for Ellie going back to college, finally! We had confirmation of a few things late on Friday afternoon that we have been waiting to hear about, it was her 17th birthday and she had a couple of appointments which went really well. Becky has had a week off work and still has another off. Hooray for all the holidays that she gets. Stu has had a few days off work too, it's been nice to spend some time together and have some fun. It has been a great way to end the summer holidays.

We don't have anything planned for today. I am hoping to watch some wrestling as there was a premium live event last night which I need to catch up on. I have a mountain of washing to catch up on too but I have saved it up as I got an email saying it's half price electricity today, from 9am until 5pm with British Gas. What a treat. lol

Now for a photo every day!

238/365 - 25th August
We had a day of doing homey things. I did some baking and Stu did some DIY. He put some shelves up in the kitchen, they are above the tumble dryer and it was just wasted space which is now being used. I love them.

239/365 - 26th August
We went out to eat. It was a late lunch, early tea and Stu and I had fish, chips and mushy peas. The pub has a great deal. Two fish meals for £12.95. It works out cheaper than the fish and chip shop!

240/365 - 27th August
The girls and I went into town to do a bit of birthday shopping and got some great things. We stopped off in Mcdonalds for something to eat and shopped until we almost dropped. It was such a lovely day!

241/365 - 28th August
Wednesday was hair dye day. Ellie just topped up the dark red that she had and I went pink. More pink than I usually go. I'd like to understand how I can dye my hair and get hardly any of the dye on me but when I do Ellie's I always seem to get covered. lol

242/365 - 29th August
Ellie had a great birthday, she had picked a lot of her presents but there was a few that were surprises including this Grey's Anatomy blanket. I got it from Shein and for the price I paid I did not expect it to be as big. Ellie of course loves it.

243/365 - 30th August
As we didn't get to get a takeaway for Ellie's birthday, the Chinese takeaway was closed as they are on holiday we decided to go to the all you can eat place in Hull. The weather was just perfect. Warm but not too hot. This was us waiting for the bus.

244/365 - 31st August
After a busy week we decided we needed a day of not doing much. As I am writing this I am still in my pj's and it's coming on for 3pm. lol Becky and I are having an afternoon on our laptops.

  1. What a lovely week you had.
It's crazy that we're in September already. I actually don't feel like we've really had a summer this year. I'm not complaining though because I love autumn.
It's nice Becky and Stu got some time off to chill out and so you could all spend some time together.
I still can't get my head around how Ellie is 17! It's not cool how fast our kids are growing up.
Hope you enjoyed your PJ day! I've had one today and loved it hehe. xx

  3. What a great blanket! Love the fish and chips, I'm still searching for the perfect place over here. Think I'll just have to move to the UK, I wish!

  5. Your pink hair is cute. I've heard about mushy peas on a TV show. Is it just green peas cooked to mushiness? #MMBC

  6. Sounds a lovely week. The hair is looking good. The fish and chip deal sounds perfect and I bet tasted nicer than the chip shop also, as well as being cheaper. I do love mushy peas. I hope back to college goes well for Ellie and happy belated birthday (again) to her

  9. Those pub deals are really good. When we were in Oxford there was one that had deals each weekday, so we would visit it when we were staying in a hotel and couldn't cook lunch.
It's nice that you've dyed your hair together, but you are right, you look neat and she has a lot of dye on her face. Haha! I love the colours! xx
