How is the weekend almost over already! Did we all get through the Storm Eowyn OK? I didn't think the wind was that bad here until I noticed we had lost another fence panel. Ugh! It should be getting fixed tomorrow, hopefully!
Stu had yesterday off work which was a real treat, he rarely gets a Saturday off but because he had to go in for training on Monday his boss said he could have Saturday! We went into town and did a bit of shopping for random things like ear plugs, hair dye, post it notes and lightbulbs. We stopped off at the pub for tea before we came home which was lovely! We don't have any plans for today apart from catching up on what I didn't do yesterday like the mountain of washing.
After a not so great week I can say now that I am feeling much better about things. These things are sent to try us. I've had a great weekend and next week will be a good one, it's the end of January! Hooray!
Now for a photo every day!
Ellie has been watching all the Marvel movies and I have started again too. She finally watched Avengers: End Game and now she see's why it's one of my favourite movies!!
20/365 - 20th January
A very fancy breakfast for me. Waffles covered in banana, strawberries and blackberries.
21/365 - 21st January
I went shopping with my dad and the final stop was Aldi. He only went in for some fizzy pop and came out with a box full of stuff.
22/365 - 22nd January
Tis almost the season of Hot Cross buns. I have started early this year but they are so good.
23/365 - 23rd January
I was out on Thursday and had got soaked in the rain and I was freezing so I treated myself to a hot chocolate from Starbucks. At £4 something it definitely was a treat!
24/365 - 24th January
Another fence panel came down, not one of the one's my brother fixed just after the last storm so he will be happy! hehehe
25/365 - 25th January
We stopped off at the pub for something to eat after doing a bit of shopping. Had a Tennessee burger with Maple cured bacon, Jack Daniel’s Tennessee Honey glaze, chips and onion rings. The burger was nice enough the rest not so much.
Sorry to see you lost another fence panel! It looks like a yummy week.
ReplyDeleteOh no, the fence panels keep falling. Hope it doesn't continue with the next storm on the way. I love waffles, though probably with a savoury topping of a poached egg and bacon, but will be happy with berries on waffles too.
ReplyDeleteOh, the Marvel movies are fab. I agree End Game is great, though I'm very partial to Avengers Assemble.
Your burger lunch sounds tasty.
Hot Cross Buns! Delicious!
ReplyDeleteOh no with the fence panels. Ours stayed upright, but it's a bit wet out there. Always a shame when meals out aren't as good as you hope. N eats hot cross buns all year round.
ReplyDeleteSounds like a nice Satursday! Hot Cross buns! I haven't had one of those in a long time!
ReplyDeleteI'm glad to hear that you've had a much better weekend. Your poor fence hope it can be repaired easily. Lots of delicious food photo's this week, that fruit looks so fresh.
ReplyDeleteSorry to hear that you lost a fence panel in the storm and hope it’s all fixed now. How lovely to have a Saturday with Stu off work. Glad you are feeling better about things again. That breakfast waffle looks yummy. It’s nice to have hot cross buns back in the shops again. #project365
ReplyDeleteI completely missed the waffles and thought that was a fruit salad! We made it through the storm ☔️ without losing a panel surprisingly as our fence is currently hanging on for dear life!
ReplyDeleteThat's my kind of breakfast, but replace the waffle for greek yogurt please. Shame about the fence panel. I do love a visit to Starbucks, I'd be in there daily if we had one in the town.
