Happy new year! I hope you have all had a good start to 2025. We've had a quiet start, I've not really done much apart from watch TV and keep the house in order and even that is slacking, the washing is piling up. Oops. I blame the fact I didn't do anything on New Years day because my family believe the superstition about not cleaning as it washes away any good fortune for the next 365 days. I wasn't going to argue or risk it. lol
This week is a short week of photos but here we go, a new year of a photo every day!
1/365 - 1st January
I am trying a new thing of taking a photo of myself every day this year and this is how it started. Me, just as I had woken up! I promise I wasn't hung over after our New Years Eve out I was just tired. We didn't get home until well after 1am, go to bed until about 2am and I woke up at about 10am. Oh and don't you just love my new Harry Potter bedding. It is flannelette material and is so cosy!
2/365 - 2nd January
The WWE has arrived on Netflix. Wrestling for those who haven't a clue what I am talking about. I didn't expect there to be much available to watch as their first live show is not until tomorrow night but they have all the back catalogue of pay-per-views and other random shows! I went back to the 90's watching various events. I love it!
The sun was shining but it was anything but warm. If the weather forecast is to be believed we should have at least a foot of snow by now. It is cold here but I don't think cold enough for snow, I say that now but watch me wake up snowed in. lol I hope you are all staying warm and safe.
Another step closer to being back to normal and back into a routine after Christmas. We had a Gousto box delivered with meals for the next week. I've got a good mix of things: comfort food, an alternative to a takeaway and something a bit different.
Did you get snow in the end? We had a little, but it changed to rain from mid morning, so is rapidly melting. I'm hoping it's not too cold overnight to freeze. I quite fancy trying a Gousto box or similar, but the OH is so fussy, and I think I'd have to buy enough for 4 to ensure there were big enough portions for the men in the house! Could get expensive.
ReplyDeleteWe got a little snow but it's turned all slushy now. The roads here are bad though. Cars are being abandoned at the bottom of hills. Eek! x
DeleteSophia would LOVE your Harry Potter bedding!
ReplyDeleteI've never heard of the superstition about not cleaning before! And yes, I love the Harry Potter bedding. It looks cosy. Our winters are short but I just told my husband that I need to get some warm brushed cotton bedding. It's cold getting into the cotton stuff!
ReplyDeleteI love flannel sheets for cold weather and your Harry Potter bedding is delightful. I've also never heard of the superstition about not cleaning on New Years. It's fascinating. #MMBC
ReplyDeleteLove the Harry Potter bedding! Looks very cozy. It's a cold day to start my week; honestly, I want to just stay in bed! Have a great week!
ReplyDeleteYou have inspired me to take part this year, I hope I can keep up. I actually didn't put a wash load on this year as I kept seeing that it was bad luck. Hope you didn't get snowed in, we had some snow but it melted pretty quickly.
ReplyDeleteThose sheets are so cute!
ReplyDeleteMy husband and son love the wrestling they are both very excited that it’s come to Netflix!
ReplyDeleteSorry, but I don't believe you, you still had 8 hours sleep, so that must be a hung over face lol. Glad you had a nice time for the New Year. Did you get any snow in the end?
ReplyDeleteHappy new year! I avoided cleaning and laundry on New Year’s Day for the same reason as your family. It’s a good excuse, lol! Hope you’re managing to stay warm. We’ve had a little snow here but it’s not lasted long. #project365
ReplyDeleteThe Harry Potter bed spread is so cute! Washing was pilling up, but I did a few loads this week and I plan to do another couple today and it will be sorted. I'm not enjoying this task at all.
