Summer Reading Challenge....

Last year I signed the girls up to the Creepy House Summer Reading Challenge at our local library and this year there it's back with a new challenge!!

The theme for this year's Summer Reading Challenge is Mythical Maze, which is being funded by Arts Council England

The challenge will run from July 12 until September 9 and is open to children aged four to twelve.

To join in the summer reading challenge children can sign up at their local library for free. They will be encouraged to read six or more books of their choice during the holidays...

Participants will receive a Mythical Maze activity folder to send them on a journey of discovery in which they will get a chance to meet a range of fantastical creatures from the world of legend and mythology....

For people in Northumberland:

  1. What an amazing book challenge! Sounds fab!

  2. We did the book challenge at our local library and we're planning to do it again this year too. We took out loads of books yesterday which thankfully we can keep for 3 weeks so they will count towards the challenge when it starts! Love that this year there is a section for under 3s as well so our Little Man can join in :) Lovely post x
