Week 3 of #Project366 - A photo every day for a year!

It has been a good week. We're back into a routine and we're all feeling happier for it. The kids have had a good week at college and school and we're looking forward to a nice relaxed weekend.

Here's a photo for everyday. I wouldn't say they are the greatest photos, I really suck at taking photos at this time of year. I'm never up to much and it's so grey and dull.

Bottles of flavoured watter
A bowl full of coloured sweets and a box full of wax melts and tea light candles
The start of a cross stitch project
A pile of laundry on my dining room table and my teen sat on the sofa
My pine bed frame with a new mattress on.

11/366 - 11th January
I was sent some new drinks to try. They are vegan and alcohol free which was perfect since I had been doing Dry January, not intentionally. I only ever drink on a weekend and I wasn't feeling great last weekend and too tired the weekend before. lol I may have had a glass or two of wine last night.

12/366 - 12th January
A retro afternoon snack of Rainbow Drops and Jazzels. Yum! Yum!

13/366 - 13th January
I found a box to put all my wax melts and tea light candles in. I need to stop buying them until I've used some of the one's I have.

14/366 - 14th January
I have started a new hobby, doing cross stitch. I have more about it in a blog post next week but I think I'm doing well and I am enjoying it.

15/366 - 15th January
I will never learn, I just can't get into a habit of folding the washing when it comes out of the dryer. I just put it in a pile somewhere until it is huge then moan about sorting it all.

16/366 - 16th January
Lazy bones. hehehe Becky doesn't like to do much on her day's off college.

17/366 - 17th January
Our new mattress arrived! We have been sleeping on a double mattress on a king size bed frame since we moved house. It hasn't been ideal but we finally got around to buying a new one this week. It's so comfy!

  1. I am the same I really struggle this time of year. I just need to be outside. I am totally the same with the washing only mine sits in ikea bags and then when I have a couple I eventually put it away. The rest of the house thinks there is a washing fairy. Yay for a new mattress. Hope you had a lovely weekend x

  2. Glad the new mattress is a success. I have to fold as I remove items from the clothes horse. But my stairs always has piles on it waiting to go up.

  3. Big pile of clean laundry lives forever on my rocking chair in the bedroom! I just add to it whenever I do more! Rainbow drops, how I love those. Must put them on the list for my mum to bring over next month. Cross stitch is great, I hope you keep enjoying doing it.

    1. hahaha! It seems I'm not the only one with a pile of washing.
I am loving doing the cross stitch. I can see I'm making progress. Thank you x

  4. glad you are getting a better sleep with the new mattress. Ours is about 8 years old and will need replacing at some point.
it may be easier to fold when it comes out but seems a pain at the time so don't blame you. DD1 has a unit in her utility and each has their own box for clothes. Eldest two are expected to empty theirs ever night but I am sure they dont.
Quite right to being a lazy bones on her day off.

Your daughter sounds like she has a good idea with the boxes for clothes.
      Thank you x

    1. I couldn't imagine doing some of the really small cross stitching I've seen. My eyes are OK but even I would struggle. Thank you x

    1. We just found the one with the best price and took the chance with Wayfair. If we didn't like it we have 100 days to return it but I know we'll be keeping it. Thank you x

  7. I bet your new mattress is amazing! It's so important to have a comfy bed. I feel your pain about taking photos at this time of year - it really isn't easy with so much darkness! My eldest is just like yours! He finishes work early on a Friday and just comes in and sits and watches The Simpsons. That feels like a complete waste of time to me, but what do I know?

    1. I feel so much better for having a good, comfortable nights sleep.
As much as I struggled to take photos last week the sun has been out the last couple of days. Hooray.
What do we know! I hate just sitting doing nothing. x

  8. Stop buying candles, you have loads already ! lol (shhh I'm the same with books, can't keep out of The Works and their three for a fiver offer !) Love the looks of your treats and those drinks are lovely - I got some in the Degustabox a while ago. Well done on the cross stitching - I used to do that and haven't touched it in years. Maybe I should start again ? :) xx

    1. hehehe! I really must stop with the candles or just use them quicker. Ahh! The Works is so tempting though. I'm not a big reader but often get tempted by their offers. Thank you x

  9. I do like your photos, they are colourful, and detail-themed. I've tried these drinks in one of Degustaboxes from last year. I rarely buy candles, as many smells give me a headache. Glad your new mattress has arrived and is comfy to sleep on. Looking forward to seeing your cross stitch work, always like looking at what Elaine does, so hope to see more from you as well.

  10. Omg! Rainbow drops & Jazzies I’ve not had those in years! I think I might have to get some next time I’m in town, that certainly takes me back a decade or two 😂. I’ve heard that cross stitch can be quite relaxing as a hobby. I don’t have the patience for that so look forward to seeing your makes 😊

  11. I know what you mean about January being a bit rubbish for taking photos - if we didn't have a challenge to get outside each day this month, I wouldn't take very many either. Love the look of your cross stitch and the rainbow drops and jazzies look yummy. Glad that your new mattress is nice and comfy :-) #project366

  15. We prefer having a bit of routine too! Oh those drinks look interesting...might have to give them a try if they are alcohol free!

I do pretty much the same with the laundry!

  16. I can't cope without routine, it makes me stressed if we don't stick to something vaguely. My gran used to call those sweeties something else and now I can't remember and it's going to bother me til I can work it out!! :)
