Week 17 of #Project366 - A photo every day for a year!

I said yesterday in my Word of the Week post about how the past week has flown over and looking at the date the whole month has considering we have been stuck at home. We have had a week of not doing much at all but it has been nice just to plod on with housework, school and college work and just pottering about.

Now for a photo everyday!

My finished fox cross stitch and my teen hanging the washing out
Outside my house
my youngest playing a game on the computer
ice lollies and a fruit smoothie

109/366 - 18th April
I finally finished the fox cross stitch. I am planning on putting it into a frame and putting it in the bathroom along with the rabbit cross stitch that I did earlier in the year. That will have to wait though because the 2nd hand shop where I get the frames is closed.

110/366 - 19th April
I had Becky helping putting the washing on the line dressed in her Sunday attire. Pj bottoms and a big jumper. lol We rarly get dressed on a Sunday.

111/366 - 20th April
I needed a photo of the back of our house for a different blog post.

112/366 - 21st April
Ellie got to go on Stu's computer while her's was out of action. She loves it with the big screen. Of course she was playing Roblox. Her computer is now fixed. Phew!

113/366 - 22nd April
I have been dying to try the retro sweet ice lollies and my dad's partner got us some from Iceland. I'm not that impressed with the Black jack or Fruit salad one's. The black jack one's weren't aniseedy enough and the fruit salad one's tasted nothing like the sweets and I threw half of it in the bin as it was too sickly sweet.

114/366 - 23rd April
I got some frozen fruit which means we can start drinking smoothies again. It's been ages since we've used the blender but I can see it getting a lot of use over the warmer months.

115/366 - 24th April
I had a good idea to use a hair dye stripper on my hair. My hair was blue/purple and had a little red in. Last time I used one to strip red out I ended up with orange hair. It turns out when you take the blue out you're left with green hair. lol I'm not actually too fussed. I am thinking of just leaving it green.

  1. You can advertise yourself as an eco-warrior now you have gone green! Forgive me - up early and not had my first cuppa! I so love that cross stitch - you should sell them or even better I should get a kit and get back to something I used to love to do #MMBC

  2. Ahh I saw someone else mentioning those lollies - I can't stand Black Jacks though, yuck ! I can't keep up with your changing hair colour lol. Green sounds good for a change. It looked blond to me when I saw the photo, so I was trying to imagine your face with a Marilyn Monroe style haircut ! Now there's an idea for the future ! lol :) xxx

  3. Wow, that is a big computer screen! How lovely to have finished your cross stitch. What a shame the ice lollies didn't taste as good as you'd hoped. I love following the changes in your hair colour!

    1. Ahh! It's a TV, not a proper screen but it does the job. Thank you x

  4. I'm glad you mentioned the lollies because we've been waiting to try these! I thought they might be a bit sweet.
I've got to put a colour on my hair. I haven't done one for ages but I'm not liking the grey that keeps popping through! Hehe. x

    1. We weren't keen on the lollies at all. You might like them though, don't take my word for it.
The only reason I dye my hair is because of the grey. lol

    1. Ahh! It's just a big TV but it does the job. I don't know how he manages to use it. lol x

  6. Ah I've been wanting to try those lollies out too - what a shame that they were a bit disappointing though. I'd never have guess that the dye stripper would have left it green. I've never been brave enough to try anything other than a semi-permanent on mine! Love your finished cross-stitch. It will look really good framed. #project366

    1. Ahh! I am only being brave with my hair because no one is going to see it. lol Thank you x

  7. I've never tried a colour stripper. My hair has been dyed so many times in the last couple of years, that it's just a dark brown colour in the middle, the new colour shows only where the roots are. And that also reminds me I really need to dye my hair asap. The Green is very eco-trendy.
The lollies did look suspiciously sweet, and also I'm not a fan of aniseed. Your cross stitch is very pretty, well done!

  9. That's a shame the lollies weren't very good after you were so excited to try them! My husband would be a bit jealous of the size of that computer screen, he is a big gamer too, but his is tiny in comparison! x

    1. The lollies were such a let down.
The computer screen is just a normal TV but it does the job. x

  10. I see you're having lots of fun with your hair at the moment lol. Glad Becky's computer is fixed now. I was wanting to try the black jack lollies, guess I'll have to wait till after lockdown, at least I don't feel like I'm missing out now after your comment on them.

    1. Ahh! I might as well make the most of being in lock down by experimenting with my hair.
      Thank you x

  11. well green is different and on lock down will give your hair a break until the next time you need to colour it
Glad I was not the only one disappointed in the lollies.

  12. Wow, great fox cross stitch! Back of the house looks nice. Green doesn't look too bad but if it's not giving the colour it's supposed to, it's not of good quality

  13. My hair went green quite by accident - way before it was trendy to have multicoloured hair. Love the fox

  14. I quite like the green hair! I have ginger hair which doesn't take to colour very well and skin issues so can't use strong chemicals on my scalp so I have to admire other people's hair colour!

  16. Love the fox cross stitch!

Such a shame about the ice lollies not being nice!

Glad her computer is fixed. Bee has to use my laptop for her school work and it makes me nervous!

  17. I had high hopes for the ice lollies! Such a shame. Ooo good idea on the blender and frozen fruit. I must give that a go as we have some left from making mango chutney. I really need to do my roots ... hope you are enjoying the new hair x
