Our weekly meal plan! 25th - 31st May. #MealPlanningMonday

Last weeks meal plan went really well. We ate everything on the days we planned and there was no complaints. We had a takeaway on Friday evening and it was amazing! It seems so long since we had one so it felt like a real treat and there was leftovers for lunch on Saturday. Becky made a lasagne for tea on Saturday and it was good, she did a great job. She mostly cooked it from scratch but did get the white sauce out of a jar. She is now designated lasagne maker. hehehe

I nearly messed up with the food shopping. Weeks ago when I was struggling to get a delivery slot I took whatever I could and had one delivered on Friday and by chance I logged in to check something and noticed the next delivery would have been today. I booked it when we were running low on everything and were struggling but now we have stocked back up and it wasn't really needed so it's been cancelled.

This week on the menu we have:

Monday - A prawn cocktail salad with tomato garlic bread.
Tuesday - Burgers in buns cooked on the BBQ.
Thursday - Pork and apple sausages with potato wedges.
Friday - Fish finger sandwiches.
Sunday - A roast dinner of some sort.

  1. Oooh prawn cocktail - :) haven't has one of those in years. Tomato garlic bread sounds like a great idea too. Yum ! Good job you sorted your shopping out - glad it's all back to more-or-less normal now

  2. I am curious to see your diet coke chicken recipe. I remember cooking roast pork or beef in coke ages ago. Though now that my DH is a vegetarian, I don't cook roasts.
Fish finger sandwich sounds lovely too.

  3. I always feel so accomplished when I make a proper meal plan and stick to it! We are still doing groceries once a week only so I actually have to think about the whole week's meals at once. Your meals sound delicious!

  5. I am pretty awful about actually making what is on the menu on the day it is written. I guess I probably shouldn't plan it out by the day and just brainstorm 6 or 7 meal ideas for the week. I'm so thankful that our grocery shopping is mostly back to normal now.

  8. I have never done cola with chicken, only with gammon. Might give it a try. Do you find the diet coke works ok, I always worry it won't be as good as "non diet cola'?
