Our weekly meal plan! 4th - 10th May. #MealPlanningMonday

Last weeks meal plan went well. We ate just about everything but did skip the salad on Tuesday. The weather was grey and chilly and not salad weather so we had potato waffles covered in pizza sauce, salami, ham and cheese with a side of garlic bread. Bad weather calls for comfort food. The kids loved the Greggs pasties we had mid week, the frozen one's from Iceland. We've had them in the past when we lived in the old house and they weren't great but they cooked perfectly here and I think it's down to having a gas oven now. Over the weekend the meals were changed too. The pulled pork was scrapped for spaghetti bolognese and with had bolognese in wraps yesterday.

We had another food shop delivered yesterday and that will be the last one until the end of the month. We are well stocked up again now so things will be easier. We have plenty of meat and veg in the freezer and things in the cupboard. All we will run short on is fruit, milk, bread and probably tins of peas and baked beans but they can be picked up from the corner shop.

This week on the menu we have:

Monday Burgers in buns with salad.
Tuesday - Home made pizza.
Wednesday - Cottage pie.
Thursday - Sausage pasta.
Friday - Fish and chips out of the freezer.
Sunday - Some sort of casserole cooked in the slow cooker.

What are you eating this week?

  4. Looks like you are well stocked up. We had freezer fish and chips this weekend. I really want proper from the chippy chips though but don't want to go and get them or have them delivered during lockdown
