Our weekly meal plan! 16th - 22nd August. #MealPlanningMonday

Our weekly meal plan

Last weeks meal plan went well. We ended up skipping the Garlic & herb salmon with new potatoes and had prawn cocktail salad instead. The kids did make me chuckle when it came to the Bolognese Tortelloni that we ate, they both said they didn't like it and Ellie at one point wasn't going to eat it at all. I explained it was just pasta stuffed with bolognese and they eventually came round to the idea of eating it once I'd dished it up and they loved it and want it again.

It's the start of birthday season in our house. It's Stu's birthday today, Ellie's in a couple of weeks and then Becky's a couple of weeks after. We shall mainly be eating birthday cake from now on. hehehe We have a fun week of food planned. A takeaway and lots of yummy food. Depending on the weather we might change the sausage sandwiches for a BBQ.

On the menu this week we have:

A Chinese takeaway for Stu's birthday.
Hambread - If you think of a big rolled pizza it's something like that.
Fakeaway Slow Cooker Doner Kebab with pitta bread and salad.
Sausage sandwiches.
A roast chicken dinner with all of the trimmings.

What are you eating this week?

  1. We only did OK with our menu plan last week... we ended up getting take out at the last minute one day when work ran late and another day I didn't feel like cooking so I just had everyone fend for themselves.

  3. Happy Birthday Stu, save me some cake! I've never heard of hambread, it's kind of like a calzone crossed with stuffed bread. I don't think my lot would go for it. I've seen a recipe for a giant sort of sausage roll with pork and apple which is a cross between a sausage roll and a pie. I'm quite tempted but my lot are too fussy.

  7. Kids make you laugh don't they?! My two are the same, if they don't like the look of something they poke and prod it!
I hope Stu had a fab birthday. I know this is a busy time of year for you with birthdays coming up, so enjoy the cake.

The Hawaiian BBQ chicken wraps sound really nice and you will love the Fakeaway Slow Cooker Doner Kebab. 😉 xxx
