Our weekly meal plan! 13th - 19th June. #MealPlanningMonday

Our weekly meal plan

Last weeks meal plan went really well. We ate everything although I did forget to buy the chicken for the chicken fajitas on Saturday so we just ate them without the chicken. Nobody noticed until we'd finished. lol

This week we have decided to get another Gousto Box. It's been a while since we last had one and I fancied some of the meals which I hadn't seen before. I don't know how my family will take it as 3 out of the 4 meals are vegetarian ones. I think there will be a couple where they don't even notice. lol If you would like to try a box too you can sign up using my referral code and you will get 65% off your first box and 30% off all other boxes in your first month and I will receive £20 credit as a thank you for referring you! I think they are well worth the money just to try the different foods and recipes when you are lacking inspiration and motivation in the kitchen.

Stu starts a new job today, he'll be working as tech support in a call centre. It's going to be a big change from the handyman/gardening job he's done for almost 3 years but he is excited for it. He does have an early start today to get there for his induction at half past eight, he has to leave the house just after 6am. The buses are rubbish here early on but thankfully after this week he is working at better times where the buses run more frequently.

On the menu this week we have:

Monday - Gousto meal - Creamy Spinach & Tomato Chicken With Crispy Potatoes.
Tuesday - Gousto meal - Mushroom Wellington With Onion Gravy And Mash.
Wednesday - Gousto meal - Carrot & Coriander Soup With Chutney Twists
Thursday - Gousto meal - Meat-Free Mince Sloppy Joes With Creamy Potato Salad.
Friday - Pizza.
Saturday - Burgers in buns with corn on the cob.
Sunday - Chicken and chips.

What are you eating this week?

  1. I still haven't tried a Gousto box. I remember I used to have meet free weeks when my older kids were younger. They barely noticed and I used to save a fortune on not buying meat. I have a Mindful Chef box coming this week as it helps me and my eldest son eat healthier. They are not meat free though, we are having a chicken and a minced beef meal. xx

  2. I love the idea of the Gousto meals, we are vegetarian and when I looked a few years ago there weren't many options but it looks as though they have improved their selection since. I hope that Stu gets on well with his new job!

  4. I don't think Gousto boxes are in the US - I just cook for one and it's easy enough - broil chicken, have a small steak, make a good salad, - the only problem I have is I get tired of my cooking and want someone else to decide what to eat -- do u have that problem?

  6. My meal planning has completely gone out the window. I'm back to asking my preschoolers what I should cook for dinner that night. I need to get my act together. Gousto boxes sound delicious, we don't have them here in Australia.
