Our weekly meal plan! 6th - 12th June. #MealPlanningMonday

Our weekly meal plan

Last weeks meal plan went OK, we ate a lot of what I had planned but changed things when we were out. At home we just ate snacky things like chicken pieces, pork pies, sausage rolls, crisps and of course scones, jam and cream.

We went to the all you can eat place and ate all we could on Monday. I was stuffed for the rest of the day and only had something at about 8pm because I didn't want to wake up during the night hungry. We had burgers, hot dogs, crepes, dirty fries, slushies and much more while we were having days out and the only meal I really made at home was sausages in brioche buns on Wednesday when we had a day at home. Over the weekend we had pizza and chicken breast, roast potatoes, carrots, broccoli and Yorkshire puddings. By the end of the week were desperate for some proper food.

What we ate last week
Burger, fries and milkshake

The kids are back to school and college this week for the last half term before the summer holidays although Becky finishes college at the start of next month and then will be starting full time work, no more holidays for her unless she books them off. I don't have much planned for the next week apart from catching up on everything that I didn't do last week. lol

I last got a shopping delivery last Tuesday and we are going to make do with what we have in until I get the next food shop on Thursday. I am hoping to get one from Tesco as we need to stock up on tinned stuff.

On the menu this week we have:

Monday - Sausage casserole and mashed potato.
Tuesday - Chicken fried rice with prawn crackers.
Wednesday - Bolognese topped potato wedges.
Thursday - Vegetable fingers with BBQ mayo sauce and pasta.
Friday - Fish, chips and mushy peas.
Saturday - Chicken fajitas.
Sunday - Cottage pie and veg.

I am linking up with Karen over at Cat's, Kids, Chaos who is the host of the meal planning linky. If you blog about your meal plan do come and link up!

  1. We all look forward to those unhealthy weeks every now and then but I do find that the older I get the less I can eat junky without starting to really crave those healthier veggie and fruit options that I never really missed much when I was younger.

  2. Sounds like a fab week of holiday food but I know what you mean about wanting to get back to "real" food too ! Hmmm I could just eat a sausage casserole right now (well, maybe not right now as it's not even 8am but you know what I mean !)

  3. We had a delicious salad last night which made a change from all the junk we ate last week. I really fancy a sausage casserole now.
