Our weekly meal plan! 15th - 21st August. #MealPlanningMonday

Our weekly meal plan

Last weeks meal plan did not go to plan but I didn't really expect it to with Stu having Covid and then the rest of us catching it later in the week. We weren't that ill and we didn't really lose our appetites, in fact I ate more. If I wasn't eating I was thinking about what I could eat and my next meal. I suppose it was a good thing, plenty of food in our bellies meant that we had the energy to fight off Covid. We ate Monday's meal and then gave up and ate whatever we fancied. None of us fancied cooking so it was a lot of sandwiches, cereal and things like Super Noodles. Everything I had planned and the ingredients did not go to waste, most of it went in the freezer to use at a later date.

I am still feeling low on energy but I don't know if that is because of Covid or because of the heat, thankfully it is supposed to cool down from tomorrow. I am planning an easy week of meals with some carried over from last week. At the moment I don't feel like standing in the kitchen cooking much but that could change later on in the week.

We were supposed to be out today for a meal for Stu's birthday today but we're not up to it so that has been postponed and Becky is at work tomorrow night on Stu's birthday so I think we're just going to get a takeaway. It's fine, Stu isn't that big on his birthdays so didn't want a fuss anyway, the way things have turned out he's not getting one. Hmmf.

On the menu this week we have:

Monday - Sausage, mash and baked beans.
Tuesday - Takeaway, pizza I think.
Wednesday - Sandwiches, cakes, crisps. A lazy tea.
Thursday - Something with sweet potato fries. Maybe vegetable fingers out of the freezer.
Friday - Scampi, chips and peas.
Saturday - Pizza.
Sunday - A roast dinner of some sort.

What are you eating this week?

  2. Sorry to hear you all caught Covid but glad it wasn't a bad case and that you all still had your appetites. The first time I had it in Sept. of 2020 I totally lost my sense of taste and smell, not really so much my appetite, but it was so strange not being able to taste or smell anything at all which didn't make for enjoyable meals.
This looks like a nice meal plan for the week. Still working on mine! I need to do better!!
